How about we up the quality of posts. If we have new mods, how about unleashing them. I cant believe this place has become lower then that other rat hole on the net. I'm disappointed in what has happened here.

When Vital was started it was cool because the posts were much more quality. It was bench racing still be plausible. Some where between the merge of Motodrive and all the new users - RonRon rejects, this place has been torn down from what it was. Even that fourstroke site has better information and users that care and respect the forum.

Comeon, lets at least try.
Everyone on the board I think has a connection to certain riders. Well except for that Guyb dude, he seems to like everyone. Smile

Take the personal stuff you know about a rider and look at it from the fence. Sometimes shit looks bad if you look at it from a distance. Bashing Jason because you have facts doesn't make it right. It's a two way street. We all don't like the same football teams, baseball teams, or basketball teams. Even though there are really great players and people on the team. Mx is no different.

Yes, maybe some attitudes need to be checked, but it goes with the territory. Learn to roll with it, and not take it personally. If you do know certain riders that take a beating on here, maybe you shouldn't read the posts about them. When you disagree with an opinion, that doesn't make the other person wrong. I think that's the main thing, when someone disagrees it becomes an arguement, when neither is right or wrong.. That to me is what a message board is all about.

Guys sit around on a Sunday talking shit about football players. No, none of the shit talkers can play a down in football, but we all can have an opinion. Thats what makes message boards so great!!

I personally take this place like a bar, where I go to hang out with friends, can pretty much talk about anything with anyone. Don't take all the smack talk so seriously. It's what most guys do.

I hope to hold myself to a promise that this is the only time I'll offer this up on a board. I didn't stop posting here...

I didn't stop posting here, or Racetime, or let my subscription expire at MT, because of the noobs. I did it because the regulars, the vast majority of whom I believe to be great people who love the same sport I do, more and more are being complete jackasses to one another, the people who make the sport go, and the riders. Some of that will always go on, but it's not a little of the time now, it's the dominant culture.

The people complaining about it are as big a problem as anyone else. I stopped because I don't want to get stuck in that rut myself, and its become so constant that there no longer is really any pay off in good vibes.

I'd hate to say the day of a healthy board dominated by core members having something to say, with respect, has passed, but it sure seems like it has. And I miss it. For now, it's pretty much axe grinding and folks who have fooled themselves into thinking knee-jerk negativity and cynicism are clever. No thanks.
Agree people can't let things go it the same BS over & over year after year....

It is the same year after year. It's like a broken record when SX season starts.

This place if pure comedy. I liked it even better in the motodrive days.

Of course I will never understand how anyone that's ever thrown a leg over bike can bash on riders who risk life and limb but that's just me.

There's a friend of mine who I ride with, and he says half the time before he clicks the submit button, he'll wait a second, and then think about whether it actually adds to the thread or not.

He says that half the time he moves on to the next thread, because what he'd written isn't worthwhile, or wasn't funny.

If more people did that, we'd have about half as many posts, but more of the ones that left would be worth reading.
damn
you really need to shut the fuck up gibersun.you are making a killing off this place with tshirt and shot glass sales.

And the rest of you baord faggots need to move the balls out of your eyes and click on "close this stupid post" button instead of reading the threats if it offends your fudge packing asses.

It's kinda funny that everyone bashes ronron's site, but a lot the stupid noobs that have been hitting vitalmx lately aren't from ronron's site. I know that for a fact. I helped put his new site together and I help run it.

There's actually a lot of people who actually contribute worthy posts here, and guess where they're from? Ronron's site...

And you've done a good job over there Jarid.
Stephane's a good guy, the raggin on his site gets old, but hey,
it's a free country. With what's been going on here lately, it's been kind
of funny really.

Hope you old MD guys get it sorted out. Just remember, the only thing
that don't change is change. GuyB explained it, he needs the ads this site gives.

There was a free ride for around 10 years. One would think there would be a fraction
of loyalty by those involved and back the guy up, and deal with what he can offer.
If not, man the f*** up like biglenny a start a site of yer own.

Oh shit. I just realize I have already posted in this thread. Ok, now I'm just posting in this thread to get my post count up. I heard there's going to be a prize.

This is where the "big forums" end up:

Reputation

What is reputation?
The reputation system is very similar to the Karma system seen on other popular websites and forums (Slashdot.org, for example). Its purpose is to hopefully give users an idea of how respected, knowledgeable, helpful, gracious, etc., a person is. It is a system in which you rate your peers. It is a system that, hopefully, will make you think twice about your posts

FWIW - I've never posted much but I use to follow the action here to get some news and enjoyed reading the posts but I felt it heading into the sewer and bailed. I may come back for the SX season but it only takes a few epic pissing matches to turn me off from a forum. Focus it on SX MX and leave the personal shit to another place. It turns into a bunch of swingin' dicks after awhile with everyone trying to prove how badass they are with their keyboard.

The thing is, I am the type of person this type of place needs to worry about - casual fan. You "live-and-breath" MX types will always be around. If you want to get to the next level, you need to provide meaningful content and analysis. If you want to call each other names and engage in other forms of verbal masturbation- it's all yours.
