I'm on a yz125 right now but one of the guys I train with has 4 2016 kx250f's,I've been riding one of his practice bikes about 3 times a week for the last month. i'm going to buy a 250f very soon, and I already love the KX but I want to know, is there a 250f that's better than the kx250f?

Imo they are all good bikes.... If you've been riding the kawa and like it I would just go with that.... They do every thing well and have a good motor plus I am sure you'll get a good deal on a 16 right now

If you've been riding the KX and like it, I'd get a KX. You're already used to how it feels.

Depends on what you wanna do with it... For the average amateur every 250f is good enough. I personally think Yamaha makes the best 250f but it's mostly based on opinions, everyone is different.

I'd say it's a toss up between red and blue.

Which one can you get the cheapest?

Kawi's are stupid deals right now around here, never rode anything besides the blue 250f, but had a 12, 14, 15 and 16, all great bikes.

I may be a bit bias but its hard to beat a YZ250F right now. Suspension is very good out of the box and even better with some minor work done to it. Motor is IMO the best in the class right out of the box. Plus you can get $300 back in blucru money just for buying one.

Hands down the Yamaha. It's the best all around bike I have ridden in a long time.
I ride a KTM 350 but own 4 more Yamahas and the YZ 250F makes me much faster.

The Yamaha is hard to beat. Great motor with lots of bottom end and surprisingly good suspension off the showroom floor.

I do agree with these guys that if you like the Kawi, stick with the Kawi. They are all so good that whatever you are most comfortable with will be the best.

Yamaha or Kawi......neither has the pain in the ass (but not terrible) air forks.

You can get a brand new Leftover Kawi for $4999 OTD in Oregon right now..... I'm not sure what the Yamahas are going for. I do love the Yamaha front fork, it is superior to the kawi front end. I have a '15 kawi with factory connection and it's still not as good as the stock Yamaha . I do love the handling of the kx though.

I've been researching this for about a month and it looks like $6200+fees is the cheapest YZ250F. The cheapest KX250f is around $5000+ fees. So you can have a KX with a re-valve or a stock YZ250F for the same money.

At only 260 pounds that baby is pushing out 25.2 horsepower. And if that's not enough to sell you on it it comes with electric start.

YFZ250F is the best 250F right now. If not the best MX bike ever. Stamp it. I don't own one but rode one and was kinda pissed I don't have one.
