X1000000. Davi has had some ups and downs in his career but not a single rider on the Canadian MX nationals could do what he did in America.

Huh, I would consider 11 podiums in the 450 class to be pretty good. Guess I'm wrong.

What about Alessi? Metcalfe?

Davi won't win the championship. I'd be surprised if he even races them all.

Who said he was?

And his deal with BTO was not "SX only" it was an optional. His deal is set as a 2-part deal. So there's no pressure to worry about s full year. Do SX and if all well, leave it at that. If SX doesn't go as planned, outdoors would be an option.

And while you guys are shitting on Davi and googling his results, Google his injuries as well.
Been a few years since Davi's been at 100%

Want to have your leg chopped up, and reset so your knee isn't at a 45o angle to the side?

But NAAAAAAHHHH, who cares about facts when it's more fun to make stuff up and just shit on a guy without knowing details?

It seems to some of these guys, motocross is like going shopping with your wife while she tries on dresses...

Talent, motivation. 2 different things. Outdoors you need both. Those 6 minute heat races in sx are brutal lol.
Why do people always use minutes as an argument. 6 minutes on a sx track is way harder on the body than 6 minutes on an outdoor. Sprinters vs long distance runners.

Question for you... If you were in charge of hiring riders, would you put your job on the line by hiring him?

It's a every year deal for General Managers in Major Leaugue Baseball...

That's impossible to answer without other relevant details such as: riders available, budget, expectations of the team owner, etc. I could come up with yes or no answers based on the situation.

Is Davy in a contract year?
If so, he will be there and he will do very well.
If not, he won't be there. History as our guide.

Shalom to Dave! Happy Anniversary! Good to have your stick back in the pot...

Ok, I don't want to argue, trying to figure out what you're saying....

You say Millsaps has a deal with BTO right now that's not Supercross only... He can race the outdoors if he wants to...

So why is he racing in Canada instead of here?

The deal is Davi is taking heat because he was under contract to race outdoors a couple of years ago and was
sitting out the nationals with a foot injury...

During that time off he won a bicycle race...

Because it was an "option" and factory KTM asked him to.

When BTO signed Davi, in the interviews, it was made clear that the whole idea was to focus on one thing, SX, and if for some reason SX didn't work out due to whatever, outdoors would be an option either could exercise. KTM is very happy with Davi, they need help in Canada and BTO was always set up to be a two man team, not a three man team, so he was asked/offered the opportunity to race Canada, which is a less strenuous schedule (not every single week), Davi is still a good sand rider, and it allows KTM the chance to be up front with Benoit, Thompson and Millsaps.

And regardless of your opinion of him, the fans still like him, so he will be good PR for KTM Canada, and fans will be happy to see him, meet him and get his autograph.

I'm just telling you how it is, you can accept it, or not. You can shit on him or whatever, but again, don't let facts get in the way of a good hate-fest

Too bad you're not a football fan. The last couple of days would have killed you will all the unflattering opinions about all the athletes during the draft.

Hard to spin this as "laughing at it"......

Lately?

Is it true he wouldn't make much money here in the outdoors?

Is it true he would do better there than here?

In the championship here, where do you think he would finish at the end of the year?

What place do you give him in Canada at the end of the year?

A part of the problem is that everyone seems to expect every rider to be a RV or Dungey, and if they are not, they suck.

I don't think some of you know how good these riders are. Millsaps is one of the really, really, really good riders.

It does, but remember, that is the 6 week stretch we aren't up to our elbows in snow. Sadly, that is also the same period, we are deluged by mosquitoes the size of sparrows, and massive herds of moose run amok in our city streets. It's a challenging time of year, but we survive.

Good for Davi if he was able to land a decent paying gig to race the Canadian Nats. I don't think anyone argues with Davi's talent on a motorcycle, but he's just never been much of an outdoor guy. Okay, he's had a few podiums and moto wins throughout his 10+ year career, but he has never been a realistic championship contender. Big difference between a lites regional title and a 24-moto outdoor championship and Davi just doesn't have what it takes.

I also don't see any way Davi beats Metcalfe and Alessi on an outdoor track with any consistency. Those guys have rode outdoors in some capacity for the last several summers and are probably better than Davi outdoors regardless. If I had a crystal ball, I see him doing 4-6th place at a few rounds before bowing out with some sort of "injury" and prepping for SX '17.

I like Davi.....but to me it is ok to discuss the reality. Now if he would go out and change that expectation, like Josh Grant has, then he would get the props for being a racer not just a rider!

Uh huh.... results.amasupercross.com/xml/SX/events/S1680/S1F1POINTS.pdf

Who's 14th and hasn't raced since Daytona
And who's 18th?

And of the two, who had the best finishes when they were racing?

Again, just using facts
