yeah, Everts always hated the rigidity of alu frames, just like MC ! But check out the neat new box-section alu swinging arm.

so if Tommy Searle can race a Toomer with new frame, link, EFI and E-starter in the Nationals, the 2011 SX250F in the shops will have to have all of these too !

Sweet!
& yes, the lure of ALUMINUM frames
isn't all it's cracked up or marketed to be!
Many of the best from the best were STEEL!
There's pit falls to both...................

Nice looking scooter, but it seems the designers seems to go back to previous looks?

I like the look and I think the E start is a great idea and I always wondered why all the 250s didn't come with it. When My son started riding 250s he was only a little over 100 pounda and had a hard time starting it.

Who said the 250F was going to be E-start?

RE: Ozzy's post - interesting point. Many of the best mountain bikes are steel. Some people prefer aluminum, some steel, and others carbon fiber. I guess it makes sense that the same thing would apply to moto, but of course there aren't hundreds of bikes for us to choose from like there is in the petal biking world.

It's in here.

http://www.mx-pure.com/archive/news-20090318095900-20100209221349.htm

"The factory 250s still retain the kickstart at present, but, if tests with the new fuel-injection motor over the next few weeks are positive, Musquin, Simpson and Herlings will also have an E-starter by the first GP. Even more significant, it is planned for Tommy Searle to race the Nationals with the fuel-injected motor, and he can only ride it in the States if the required number of 2011 production versions have been manufacturered, ready for shipping."

That bike is sick. Hope they stuff a smoker in there as well, although I bet that 350 is the hot ticket for most.

That's what I was thinking, the design is allready made and all the others tend to mimic the angle looks from 2007-2009 KTM. I mean look at the new YZF, CRF, Husky?

Still think it looks good, and it seems KTMs passion and determination is paying off. The amount of attention these bikes get signals something to me.

I remember the day when no one would touch this bike. Glad KTM made it through the tough times of bad reviews. I hope a KTM 2 stroke can get fuel injection soon. Linkage as well.

They do what we want, and they do it good. Impossible to fail! I'm sure they create any hybrid asked for if there's a demand. Soon the japs will adapt to this as well!
