To be clear. PED`s don`t make you fit. You have to train just as hard, in fact, they help you train harder.
What ever reason is behind Stewart gaining weight is not because of lack of Adderal. People, just drop that nonsense.
If human can train up to 90% of his potential, PED will get you to 100. That`s what takes you to be just one click above your competition. But you have to train just as hard.
With regards to Test, the best PED, you are wrong. Compare Test + no exercise to Placebo + no exercise.

"The Effects of Supraphysiologic Doses of Testosterone on Muscle Size and Strength in Normal Men"

Never underestimate the power of PEDs!

Of course, Aderall and Test are not even in the same universe. Agree that equating Aderall use to wait gain is nonsense. Wait gain = sitting on the couch and wakesurfing too much and not putting in laps. Simple as that.

IF it's true he has a fractured ankle, I think he might be riding the last few rounds because he knows it will be all he can do until next SX season (if he doesn't retire).

Finally some sense. Too many people blindly defending what's obvious.

Cut down on it and you'll likely gain a few pounds and lack focus. Sound familiar?

Anyone who doesn't agree please respond with an intelligent comment not just "you're talking shit". Back up your response or stfu.

The drug is literally prescribed for two things: (1) weight loss, and (2) ADHD.

What you`ŗe saying is that a pro athlete needs Adderal to stay fit and not gain weight which is absolute nonsense. You`ŗe implying that Stewart was fit only because he was taking massive amounts of adderal.

Weigh loss is a side effect of the drug. Loss of appetite, which would be catastrophic for pro athletes.

As a father of a child with AD/HD I can tell you first hand that Adderal kills of appetite. Performance enhancing? Yes! My kid played youth basketball, practice was in the evening and games on Saturday morning. In the evening practices the med had starting wearing off, dribbling and shooting was terrible and listening to instructions "in one ear and out the other". Saturday morning game time when the meds are full strength....laser focus, skills was so much better and at times a little too aggressive. I have talked to other coaches that see the same thing. It's not a physical enhancement, but a mental enhancement.

Jeff Ward had some comments regarding riders a while back, not sure where it was posted but he seemed to think that James has suffered too many concussions and because of that, he felt he was done poor coordination timing off not fixable In Jeff's opinion. Tried finding the article because I know he spoke of other riders. I wonder how the others have done. What was his opinion on Dungey, etc etc?

No I'm not saying that at all. Don't put words in my mouth. What I'm saying is that he's most likely taking less Adderal than before the drugs ban. If he only ever needed to take the amount that the TUE allows for ADHD then why not just get the TUE in the first place?

His subsequent weight gain and poor performance (specifically the poor mental side of his game that pretty much everyone has acknowledged) since he returned from the drugs ban is entirely consistent with reduced Adderal usage.

I would agree with your conclusion and if that is the case I don't think we will see the James of old anytime soon unless he gets it the amount increased by a Doctor.

This might explain a lot of things currently, as well as over the years, with James ... seeming lapses of judgement, trouble training for outdoors, split with Aldon Baker, etc.

Even before WP landed on him in the heat he had made half a dozen mistakes and looked very shaky. I had assumed he was just out of shape but now I am wondering if we have seen the last of Stewart contending for even a podium, let alone a win. Even if he can get back in shape physically ( at this point a major hurdle ) ... if he was dependent on a high dose of Adderal for making all those split second decisions and maintaining 200% concentration, he might not be able to regain that focus with just the allowed TUE amount.

Key word in all this is 'MIGHT'.

If anything his career has been worse since he started taking Adderall. He started taking Adderall in 2012, after Coy Gibbs recommend he get tested for ADHD. He had been tested numerous times before that with no failed test.

I couldn't imagine riding at his level on 30+ mg of XR...dry month would be absolutely horrible and you have to time the peak release just perfect. If anything I think it would be horrible to ride with it unless he's on micro amounts of it.

The body only makes so much dopamine, if he's using every day he's just going to be drained.

I think he's just getting older and isn't as hungry as he was...because he doesn't have to be. Id be lying if I didn't own up to the fact that I'm a little heavier now than I was 10 years ago.

I'm not sure what the hell is going on with him....but someone seems to be steering him in the wrong direction , or he's not listening to people who are trying to help him.

Gaining weight , being out of shape , timing is way off......it's not adding up. There are two types of people on this planet and both will have different affects from Adderall. 1.) lose weight , have high energy , focus better , ect. 2. ) get out of shape , get lazy , lose motivation but can concentrate better.

Opposite affects on people, with and without ADD. James is going through mixed symptom's here. That's why it's confusing. But since he doesn't tell anyone outside his circle anything.....he sounds like he's going down the wrong path.

BTW....I have dealt with this ADD shit for my entire life and anyone here that knows me , will tell you this. I do however have a riding buddy that some here have met.....complete different animal. The worst case of hyper attention deficit disorder that's off the charts. In fact , a judge forced him to see a counselor and a doctor , and the doctor said that in the 30yrs of practicing , he'd never seen anyone that bad. He actually shocks a lot of my new friends that have never met him. The guy is a F5 tornado on crack. I'm not kidding!

I'm a huge Stewart fan, probably my favorite rider of all time so I hate seeing him struggle like this. I think the decreased Adderall dosage theory is interesting, I have never thought about that as a possibility. I will say it is unbelievable that he has his whole team at Suzuki plus his personal team and yet nobody was able to ensure he submitted the proper documents he needed for a TUE.

Just picked up the latest issue of Moto magazine with a full length interview at Farleigh Castle VMXDN with Jeff Ward. Here's the paragraph printed in full on his thoughts on James Stewart!

James Stewart is done
"he may still be fast but he's hit his head so many times. It's his brain that's the problem, not his bike or anything else.
He just can't focus so he doesn't know what to do when things get weird. His brain doesn't work right now. He falls over and gets dizzy.
I don't think he should race anymore. I'm sure they are pushing him to race as he gets paid a lot of money. If he got tested properly by a doctor in a football or baseball league, I reckon they wouldn't even let him race, I bet his reaction and brain stimulation wouldn't pass a test."

What do you think of Wardy's opinion of JS7?
