I am pretty certain that is Stackable - that gear was pretty distinctive. The only other Maico rider I can think that looked similar on the bike at that time was Jim West and looking at that pic it was later in the day after he secumed to his injuries.

That wasn't the nationals project - that was the Trans AMA and they had different numbering if I remember correctly.

I believe our guy's ran their regular national numbers in the Trans-Ama
series. It was the Euro's that were assigned special #'s for the series.

I know in the USGP's , everyone had different numbers.

I'm not sure, but I'm guessing either Harry Everts or Adolph Weil.

Defeo wore that same distinctive gear. I have a pic of him in it, wearing #34.

It's him... I'm headed out riding, but if I have time later, I'll scan it in.
