Suzuko would be a good fit for mook with big bro helping him. I think jgr would be good to considering his size and the power of those bikes, but where would that leave weston? Hopefully malcom gets a factory level ride, been waiting to see what he can do on a 450 in sx with a good team behind him.

I think it's hilarious... Let's see how Mookie does in the 2016 Lucas Oil Motocross National Championship...

Lets see if he can run with or beat Webb, Martin, Craig, Nelson, Plessinger, Aldredge, Savatgy, Cianciarulo
Forkner & Alex Martin...
Out in that hot sun for 30 minutes plus 2 laps...

SX is what pays the bills for the teams. MX is a money loser, and a loser from a marketing perspective. The main reason the teams do it, is the other teams do it. A SX title means a LOT more to a team than an outdoor title. The biggest impediment to MS getting a good 450 ride has been the fact that he has no 250 title. Something like 16 riders in 450s have 250 titles of some sort (most SX...due to east/west), so to get any sort of ride, it is pretty much a requirement. If he can keep it going for 4 races...he can check that box. Nationals...?...sorry...wont matter much to teams if he has that SX title. As a "purist", you may not like that, but that is how it is.

That's all true but he's correct that mx will prove how healthy he really is to a team that will have him on a 450 for 20 laps and twice as many races next year. His health will matter for that contract signing!

By that time there will be James Stewart III who will inherit everything.

Agreed with the not having a title thing. I'm a bit confused why JMart is moving up this season. His SX performances have been hit or miss. Can't deny his outdoor ability but we've seen a LOT of riders held in the 250 class due to lack of an SX title. Musquin is a good example of another rider.

Also, if you look at Malcolm's previous performances, he has flashes of brilliance but he's been outside of the top 5 in points standings each season. If you can't give some sort of consistency in a series that runs half of the races you're auditioning for, you're probably going to have a hard time finding the ride you want.

He said he needed the money... I remember a old video where RC was showing his house and he showed
his championship check for the 125 outdoor title worth $250,000 when he was riding for Mitch, the check was
directly from Kaw...

I like what Roger said, You race half the season, half the money...

edit... what you said about Supercross must be true, or we'd be winning the des nations...

How about Mookie to RedBull KTM taking Wilson's spot? That would be nice.

I could see him at Suzuki but I don't think he would pursue it for the reason of it looking like he took his brother's spot. This is purely speculation based on knowing how close of a relationship they seem to have. I think James has another year left on his deal anyway.

I think he could have found a B level ride a year or so ago in the 450s . Perhaps he got paid more in the 250s and chose to stay down.

It was his best option at the time. He was not forced to sign the contract.

I'm not arguing that's not the case, I'm simply stating that it was going to be hard to hang with Martin and the other contenders to begin with. Then you add Mookie and his size on a 250 and it's even tougher.

Agreed, but 250 sx is way different than outdoors 35 mins, hot weather, i see him. 8-10 outdoors. Bowers, plessinger are close to his size also.

Mookie has incredible skills, and a great dude. Played xbox with him for a few years then he got serious about racing. Always in a good mood and passionate. When he moves up, he will do very well as long as he keeps his drive. Would love to see him on a blue bike. I can easily see him on a JGR with a bonus program taking Phil's spot.

A team could hire him just because of his last name. The guy has 430k followers on Instagram, kinda good for marketing.

Last i have seen, SX only programs did not end well....and Mookie knows it ....he will have a ride for sure, he is too good of a marketing product, and with the 250sx title, for major brands to leave him out...i see him on a good satelite team next year

I like Malcolm! Maybe it's been easy coming in being James Stewart's brother (I doubt it) maybe it hasn't. But he has really came into his own and started making things happen and regardless what resources you have that will only get you so far in this sport.
