The most basic principle when getting passed is to always just hold your line and don't move left or right and that's exactly what he did and for the record, it's exactly what the AMA rules and enforcement group say to do.
So contrary to your inaccurate accusation, Vince wasn't a hazard by holding his line.
Stop hating just to hate and look at things from a real perspective.
He held his line didn't pull a Stewart and hold anyone up.
Also not sure if you realize it but all the guys are out there racing the track and the competition for a result. By the way if Vince isn't a real rider than the race last night had only 10 real riders cuz that's the only ones he didn't beat.
Pit Row
Maybe I like to see the black sheep succeed. I'm probably overly forgiving of all the craziness, but hey - that makes it interesting and it takes all kinds.
Racing means a hell of a lot to Mike, his crying after a heat race win over RV gives insight regarding his drive to succeed. You wouldn't catch RV giving that much of a shit about this sport.
Alessi has no doubt done things that make no sense to anyone, but he does them with more heart than quite a few other pros he's raced against.
btw, i've traveled the circuit, both national and sx....but thanks for the clue in.
Did you make a living at it?
If it was racing then it's clearly obvious that you are sporting some jealousy towards a guy like Vince cuz you never could carry his dirty jock as your display of understanding of what it takes to race at the high level.
Let me guess, you could show him a thing or two on the track.
I will say it again, holding your line and racing forward is the only responsibility you have when being lapped.
By the way it doesn't take a genius to understand my point but per your statements it's easy to see why this simple math looks genius like to you.
You keep forgetting lappers aren't meant to hold up the leaders. Just racing forward and holding your line isn't enough. It shouldn't be up to the guys running up front to navigate past lappers who are racing.
