Cylinder head is the same one that one of the YZ450Fs had when I was there last year. It's based off of the 2010-12 head.

Here's the link: http://motocross.transworld.net/features/2017-spy-photos/#mv8mwJv1BKzo8…

TransWorld Motocross is in Japan this weekend for the opening round of the All Japan National MX Championship Series, held at Kyushu Motorsports Park in Kumamoto, Japan. As usual, the machines raced in the homeland of the Japanese Big Four manufacturers are super trick and oozing with new technology. Ten-time Japanese Champion Akira Narita’s factory Honda CRF450R is the most intriguing of all the bikes, as it looks radically different than the current 2016 CRF450R, with all-new bodywork and a new chassis. We did a quick lap around the pits today (Thursday) as teams were setting up for qualifying tomorrow and racing on Sunday. Here’s a sneak peek at some of the machines. Stay tuned over the next few days for more detailed posts on all the bikes, plus some great information we’ve found out about changes that are in store for the 2017 models, and rumors about two “new” machines that are making a production comeback.

May need to buy a geiger counter when getting stuff from Japan from what i heard last nite.

The nuclear disaster is far far worse than Chernobyl. Not sure where to find the story but it was very depressing.

31 million 1 ton bags of debri they cleaned up but it is sitting everywhere giving off dust that settles where they cleaned.

They were testing sidewalks and handrails in the town nearby and they were "hot as a pistol" was the guy's words.

Interesting stuff on the Yamaha: Lower motor mount is different, upper mount has been moved to the back of the head, and the frame castings at the swingarm appear to be the 14-15 version. Swingarm looks trick with the weld all the way down the side- kind like an 80's works CR arm. I love it every year when TW posts these photos.

I thought the RM 125 was coming in 2018 but very strong rumors the KX 125 will arrive in 2017 due to the new amatueur rule change. Yamaha slso seems to have something up their sleeve for 2017.

I don't beleive in an rm 125 in the slightest. Not when according to the pictures of these bikes if it's not April fools. The rmz plastics look unchanged. They won't change plastics but will release an all new rm 125. Doubt it

Looks like the rear shock canister is canted/rotated forward too. Weight balance?
