TransWorld Motocross is in Japan this weekend for the opening round of the All Japan National MX Championship Series, held at Kyushu Motorsports Park in Kumamoto, Japan. As usual, the machines raced in the homeland of the Japanese Big Four manufacturers are super trick and oozing with new technology. Ten-time Japanese Champion Akira Narita’s factory Honda CRF450R is the most intriguing of all the bikes, as it looks radically different than the current 2016 CRF450R, with all-new bodywork and a new chassis. We did a quick lap around the pits today (Thursday) as teams were setting up for qualifying tomorrow and racing on Sunday. Here’s a sneak peek at some of the machines. Stay tuned over the next few days for more detailed posts on all the bikes, plus some great information we’ve found out about changes that are in store for the 2017 models, and rumors about two “new” machines that are making a production comeback.
