I have found my old HDD and reset my youtube password and started upload the videos from the old ronronmx.com days. I see I had already uploaded some years ago!

Holy crap batman, it's a ronron reunion! I started hitting that site, I don't know, 2000 or so. I also frequented Motodrive but there were too many know it all's. Ronron was less serious and fun. I have met several good folks on there. Falcon (if it's the same Falcon991 I know), Brett Cue, NorcalRedRyder, Motogrady to name a few. I never met MxEthix (Matt) in person but I did chat with him a couple of times on the phone when he wanted some input regarding his schooling. He said he trusted me only from my posts on RonRon's and I felt honored to assist. Seemed like a great guy. I traded a couple of e-mails with his parents to tell them about my interactions with their son to add to their memories. They were very appreciative.

Met Falcon at both Hangtown and Glen Helen a few times. How are you doing Geoff? Kids must be getting big now. Time is flying.
Met Cue at Glen Helen. He was trying to qualify for Lorettas I believe. This was long before he became the Cue that everyone knows. I was in So. Cal working and couldn't stay long. We planned it on RonRon and I popped in to meet him. Several years later we both suffered pretty traumatic head injuries at the same time. I would ask how your doing Brett but I see you are doing great. Keep it up.
Met NorCal at Club Moto after planning that as well. As a matter of fact, I think the photo he is using for his profile pic on here is one that I took of him. How you doing buddy? Been a long time since we did our amateur photo shoot attempt at Club Moto.
Motogrady offered to pick me up at the airport in DC for the EPIC des Nations at Budds. He had a sleeping bag and tent for me. We grocery shopped on the way in and had a great time. My girlfriend at the time thought I was nuts for trusting someone like that. Thanks again Grado.

So cool to hear from all you guys!

Honestly, that's a big part of the reason I am able to do what I do today. Cobra314 and I started posting photos when digital cameras first came out and everyone liked them, so we just kept doing it! Here I am 15 years later still doing the same thing.

I remember Rob well, the guy who was famous on the board for being ugly. He was like Donnie from The Big the Lebowski, or Meg from Family Guy: as soon as he wrote something people would jump on him and tell him to STFU because he was ugly. Laughing

My son is 25 and a Journeyman Electrician and just got keys to his first home last night. AWESOME.

He rides my brother's KTM now. And no, I don't have my bike. I gave my KX to him also. It's been sold for over a year now.

Man that brings back memories… Chubbs and I got really drunk that night, and in the early hours of the morning decided to call up Riot Radio (they were based in Vegas, not sure what happened to them or if they were even associated with Matthes?). Anyway, the only thing I remember about that call doing the “live water prank”, and by that, I mean I stupidly agreed with the hosts to throw a bucket of water over my younger brother who was asleep in the next room… well I did it, and Riot were kind enough to send me a goody bag for my efforts because they said that was a caller first! Man my bro was soo pissed that we actually fell out for a couple of weeks. I used to call Riot regularly (a bit like the Raining Yellow on Pulp), and my dad would go nuts because of the phone bill charges.

Chubbs and I eventually fell out over a girl yeah. He was cheating on his girl with another one that I was into, and he knew that, so I was hated him for it. Later on in their relationship I got her to dump his ass and get with me, so the feud between us actually continued for a handful of years even after he left Ronronmx.

Are you also referring to Robin Goodwin? Jarid and I used to wind him up sooo much with “THE BEAST!!” comments, that at one time in my life I thought we might’ve killed him. He just disappeared. I actually met Rob at a Supercross race and he was a nice kid, but he looked more like a chess club fanatic than a motocross fan.

Another thing about ronronmx, is there were about 900 usernames with Yamaha, or YZ, YZF 1234567. Right after the YZ250F came out, hard to tell the posters apart.

I posted on RonRon all the time during the MCM2 days and when I started shooting video. Pretty sure my screen name was the same as it is here. I definitely have all my old sigs on a drive. I come across them quite often, and laugh everytime. Good ole days for sure.
