I'm feeling pretty good about my preseason prediction that Dungey would wrap up the title before Vegas. His main rival who kept him in check retired so it shouldn't be a big surprise that he's dominating now.

We can't help it that Dungey is boring to watch. There is only one time RD5 has been good to watch - Millville ?2010? when he was on the rmz450 and had to fight through the pack after some mechanical issue. Dare I say he was awesome to watch in that moto.

In your opinion. A lot of other people like watching him ride, and besides, if you don't like watching him ride, then why chime in to let people know? Isn't that kind of boring? Smile

Aldon comes from a background of cycling..if theres one sport that knows how to cheat, that would be it.

He understands what it takes to make a superior athlete in this sport. He's incredibly intelligent and gifted at what he does. His riders physique and stamina say it all. Look at how ryan is built right now, Perfectly for how the body works on a motorcycle.

I think Aldon could turn Alessi into a top 5-10 guy indoors, and a constant podium threat/moto winner outdoors. Yes. Alessi is one of the racers out there that I think would benefit from aldons services the most. Especially if he isn't around his dad or motoconcepts.

Why chime in? That's the point of a forum. You will never get everybody sharing the same opinion.

And no, it's not. Smile

There is no such thing as overtraining at that age.

Only undereating and undersleeping.

The guys program didnt do shit for AC except get him so malnourished and iron deficient he missed a season.

A kid that age should be eating a good 6-10 balanced meals a day. Or more.
How do you get so iron deficient you get sick at that age?

Eating a sickly ten speed bike rider diet.
my sister plays volleyball at a fairly high level and trained quite hard until one day she just couldn't, no energy and was run down and pale. went to the doctor and her hemoglobin was at 30 (mine is at 185 for comparison) Hemoglobin is the protein that carries iron in your blood.

It had nothing to do with training or poor diet, simply a genetic issue that could be solved with iron supplements and regular hemoglobin checks

From what i understand this is what AC had, nothing to do with aldons training just something he's born with

There absolutely is. Especially if a person own physiological makeup has factors in it which inhibit " high level " performance and recovery, also diet and rest patterns can really harm an individual training at world class levels.

I agree you can be overtrained however that is not the cause of the iron deficiency you brought up in your previous post

A lack of hemoglobin and therefore iron is why when he turned pro he suffered at first then picked it up at the end of the year

As far as I know overtraining does not affect hemoglobin and iron but it will cause issues with stamina

Were RC or RV big boy champs before they hired Aldon? Nope, and both were not rookies in the big boy class when they hired Aldon. Seems to me that Aldon helped them take things to the next level just like it appears to be helping Dungey.

Shut up, you know RC was a two time 250 champ before he hired Aldon. The two biggest changes in Dungey is a bike he is truly happy with and RVs retirement.

RV retired because it took soooo much hard work to stay ahead of RD year in and year out. All the fun factor of riding was gone because of this. Everyone said RV would never be seen around a track or bike again because he hated riding....no, he hated the work he had to put in to stay at the top. Guess what, he's riding for fun now..why's that??? imo of courseWink
Same goes with RC and Stewart at some point even dungey will have somebody pushing him to a limit that he's not really willing to go to for another year (if he gets used to this dominance he settled for second for a while) Rv would have eventually hurt himself pretty bad trying to remain that dominant.

You guys crack me up. Its okay, The Baker Factory will keep on winning and cashing cheques while all of you knuckleheads spitball as to how their program doesn't work. Some of you are as sharp as the edge of fuckin town.

Would RC have won without Aldon? Yes, but to the degree that he did? No chance. Same for RV. Same for James, and look how that worked out for him once he left....if he would have stayed with Aldon and kept his head down he would have records that no one would touch, but no, him and his posse knew better. Dungey is a smart motherfer-he knows what he knows and what he doesn't and now all he has to do is the work prescribed, and trust in the process, and not think all of a sudden he got smarter than Aldon when it comes to this side of his program. And he won't let him go until he is ready to hang em up-smart fella.

It also cracks me up when I hear someone suggest that AC knows the program now so why stick around and pay all that cash for it? Hilarious. If I have to explain why that won't work then the collective IQ around here isn't what I thought it was.

RC had a great line in one of the "Great Outdoors" videos when he says that if someone says that they are burnt out, then this sport isn't for them. Or any sport at the highest level for that matter.
