There were a couple of things he did that I didn't agree with and I would have done differently but it turned out nice

that guy built his off of mine. since i didn't release any pics showing how i mourned the air boot and the 4t subframe he had to guess which is a little different than mine as i use the 4t boot with 4t air filter. he used 2t air boot .he used the stock 2t tank, and stock 2t seat bc you can't use a 2t tank with 4t seat or vis versa . if he would have used the 4t tank he wouldn't of had to move his seat mounts.. if your going to do it, my way is the fastest and easiest. Also a lot of people have no clue on what you do with the hole from the fuel pump in the 4t tank. I can also take at the 4t stuff off and bolt the 2t stuff right back up.

Well... If you take a look from the distance, yeah, looks nice. When you close up to get better views, things change drastically. Sorry mate, but I would never do that on my bike. I'd rather prefer to keep it as it was in 2006. Although, the pics ge217 released look much better.

I think, if UFO would be wiser, they could not only release an updated set of plastics for the YZ's but also for the KX's, RM's and CR's.

Just sayin'.

I'd like to know what you did with the hole from the fuel pump. I have a 13' KX250F tank I want to put on my 2010 carbureted KX250F. Somehow I need to put a petcock on the '13 tank. I thought of using a piece of aluminum stock cut to size, but what did you do?

what philg said would work. or if you able able to so it yourself more power to you. all you have to do is make a plate and then mount a petcock to. Hint watch out for the cylinder head frame mount when finding the proper location of the petcock. To mount the plate to the tank you can use the stock fuel pump bolts and the rubber o-ring so your plate will seal.

it was really easy. Probably took 45 min to convert everything. the silencer even bolts right up to the 4t exhaust mount. like it was meant to be..

If you look at the new sub frame mount on the chain side, you can see it is longer. Looks to me like it is a 4stroke subframe, seat, tank, shrouds and side panels. I am doing my 05 250f/500 the same way.

I did not do a build thread. When I built it I didn't want anyone to know how I did it.

@ge217

What, if any, changes were you able to feel doing that conversion? Does the shroud/frame area ever cause problems with pants, knee guards, braces or boots? What about the subframe, seat, gas tank combo? Does it change the sitting angle or grip (flatter, thinner, etc)? I've been looking at doing that conversion for a while but not until I have nothing else left to do.

Why would the engine mounts need to be altered? It's a plastics conversion...

Great looking conversion. I want to convert my 01 kx250 but I'm still unsure of all the parts I'll need. Any insight on that?

yes my 12-15 kit is still for sale. As far as mounting it to a 2001 I am not sure on what that will take since the frame is different than the 03-07's.
