what's pourcel doing out there? he literally pulled up on the main start to make sure he started last. it the heat, going high in the bowls just letting guys truck on by. fast in the day but won't race at night. why?
In qualifying he went from a 1.06 to setting the fastest lap.
Bad starts are one thing.. but how he isn't able to charge inside the top 10 is beyond me
What I didn't get was: he chose the way inside for the heat race (he had first gate pick for that race).
Then he advanced through the semi and chose the very outside gate for the main.
Those were probably the two worst gates on the whole grid
1 speed forward and 13 in reverse
I think the same theory applies

ps. i got down on my knees and begged gibby to let me back in here....so don't clip me. i'm "jus sayin"....non maliiciously!!!
He comes back from a huge injury, overcomes it, makes a comeback in Supercross in one of the toughest seasons ever and people are giving him shit because he finished 12th. Wow
Not hating on the guy just an observer.
would love to see him win, podium, top 5, or top 10
I'm glad someone else mentioned it because I noticed it as well.
Maybe waiting for the class to thin-out with injuries and get comfortable racing next to these guys?
Doesn't matter to me either way- I'm not paying him!
I'd look for him to ramp it up after the first handful of races.
His speed has surprised me and he is great entertainment for us fans. You never know what you're going to get out of the guy and that is exciting!
Pit Row
The guy is class, does things his way. If he stays fit , i am hoping for big things outdoors.
Is it true that Team Honda sent Pourcel a highlight reel of Trey Canard racing incidents/crashes to spook him? I thought I heard Ping say that the other day.
He's always been an enigma. But, GuyB makes a good point...its his first year on a 450 in SX, major injuries...he's doing all right and probably about where he should be. Hopefully the mental side comes around for him, we all know he's got talent coming out his ears...
