Listened to his interviews with holly and on TV, he needs to believe in himself that he belongs here, like the chad of old man, he rode on dung like his shadow man, that was epic, he needs to believe that he can challenge for the title, he looks great. He looks happy n fast too! Light that fire chad, you can do this, you are title contender material my brother!
He already does.
even in his darkest days getting hammered by stew and Carmichael he believed he could do it. Probably one of the few people I've seen in the last twenty years that could put up with the ass whoopings those two guys gave him at times and not give up. Trust me, a LOT of dudes would've given up a long time ago.
While dungey might be "the guy".. Chad couldn't give a rats ass. He's faced the 2 most intimidating dudes in the last twenty years, dungey don't scare him a bit.

If Pourcel didn't jack him in that corner and he got to the front before Dungey the lap times show he'd have likely stayed there.
Starts in this field are super important. Chad went forward 4 or 5 spots this week and the same last week but he's gotta start well and if he can see the lead he can push, just like always!
Dungey's A1 ride to me was alpha male shit though, get knocked down, lose your rhythm, go past them all again and didn't finish that far behind Anderson. Tough to beat but you gotta start there to do it.
Also - San Diego was a GREAT track for Dungey. Not that he has bad ones, but he's amazing in long flat turns and turns in general... hugs his line, never steps, keeps momentum. Chad's strengths weren't really present on that track, 90s and small whoops don't help.
Only 2 riders in the 48's on a track where is was evident that it would be difficult to find much time...especially after they flattened the whoops.
He was very chuffed in that interview and even admitted he was riding at his maximum level...can only wonder if Dungey was as well.
I really want to see him stay healthy the entire year to see the potential...we havent seen him without an issue regarding injury since 2011
11 years later he's out there battling for the win again. I wish I could do that!
Oh, yeah...Chad is a badass. I'd like to see him bust off a win!
From what i've seen, CR is in champ mode right now, no cockiness, confident and staying humble under the radar. I like where he is at.. Best he has been in years
Whatever RD5 said he immediately caught himself and downplayed calling out Reed as pretty old, it was quite funny...
The bus is filling up fast again. Lots of shiny new supporter shirts on show too, fresh out the packet.

Edit: Quoted the wrong post.
sadly, The race for the top 2 spots was over on lap 4 ---- the rest of the guys seemed to have lost a lot of ground while that Friese ship was going backwards....
It is only round 2 and while reed needs to " work on some things" he looks really good... You still have 4-5 other guys who are doing the same...so hopefully it leads to some great racing and not a Dungey run-away...
