Peick penalty

The world (USA especially) is far to PC nowdays. Rules rules rules.

Natural law will always stand objectively behind all this PC crap...

Friese rode like an idiot.

Peick kicked his ass for riding like an idiot.

Thats what most red-blooded, meat eating, testosterone driven men would do in that same situation.

I don't get why people think hitting a guy in the back of the helmet is something manly.

Weston threw what is the male version of a bitch fit. And hitting someone with a helmet on? Brilliant. He must have so many IQ's.

He's definitely not the sharpest tool in the shed. Hell, it took him five years to realize no teams wanted to hire a fat guy to ride their bikes. I think the penalty is suitable.

I don't think coach Gibbs is going to issue any kind of penalty. Kyle Busch drives for him....remember. He's been known to smash a few six figure trucks up into competitors at 120 mph+. Slightly more drastic than some rookie helmet socks.

Funny how they joke about Barcia earning the nickname Bam-Bam (for crashing out more riders than anyone else in history) and, a few minutes later, everyone's all in Freezy's shit. I'm not for riding dirty. But let's not all drink the cool aid just yet.
You get fans (like Barcia) if you do it moving forward. Not so much if your MO is holeshot and work your way back.

Based on this logic, Dungey should be beaten about the head for T-boning Stewart. And, similarly, Canard should be punched repeatedly in the head for running Dungey high and into the dirt.

You need to check your "real men" concepts.

Man, I can imagine why Peick did it. Friese did it twice! What a punk! Was he targeting Peick or what?! Peick probably should have stomped on his head a little too.

Some of the comments in this thread ..... Grinning

VF is going to be a marked man. WPs rise from a goon to top 10 SX pro is pretty well admired by teams and competitors. He is a hero to the privateers still struggling to step up like he did. VF is going to get stood up in every corner, and given no quarter on the track for the rest of the season. He will get crashed out of practices. He wont make many mains, and might even end up hurt. There is a lot of sympathy for WP by the riders right now...because they all have wanted to do what WP did.

Dungey has a reputation for riding clean, so his crash with Stewart was more of a racing incident + Stewart was knocked out, and had a sore leg / ankle - so he couldn't react even if he wanted to.

Canard rides on a knife edge, Reed has already taken him to task over it and Dungey is not the type of person to resort to physical violence when he has a race to win.

Freise rides like an idiot most of the time, and had already tagged Peick that day.

There is a difference.

I dont see why Gibbs or JGR would be super upset about this, I mean they are involved with so many sports that they have probably seen this type of stuff all the time. I mean, it happens, were all human. Now if Peick was doing it all the time over silly stuff then yea, theres a problem. But one guy who is known for his bullshit tactics takes Gibbs rider out twice in a night? I would just look the other way if I were him.

Quick question because the laws may be different in the USA, if I was riding at a local track and I knocked someone me down while racing and they got up and started punching me would that be okay from the standpoint of the law?
I thought there was some incident at Glen Helen last year where some guy got arrested for fighting.
Not sure if someone answered your question or not. I didn't read the entire thread.

You are correct about a fight a Glen Helen.

It was a couple of years ago. Guess who was involved?

Vince Freise

If I remember right Freise was pissed because he thought Micheal Leib pushed him off the track at the start of moto 1
Then in staging for moto 2 Freise sucker punched Leib's brother in law breaking his jaw.

Why don't you come out to Milestone this week and say that to Peick in person?

Or even to Friese.

Unless you know them personally, you have no way of knowing what kind of person they are.

It would be like me calling you an inbred goat f@cker based on the comments you post.

While that may or may not be true, I have no right to make that judgement because I don't personally know you.

Just saying....

I have no problem with him pounding on Friese but when Peick flips him off that is just out of line. Whistling

Don't know about you, but I don't call people attracted to a sport out of lust for sensation and need for drama "fans".

Peick probably broke the helmet. Hand is probably fine, LOL.

JGR should be giving Peick a bonus! They are getting great exposure from this whole incident. There is no such thing as bad publicity.

Same here. If I was Gibbs, I would probably take Weston out for a good steak dinner and some beers.

Was watching a replay on youtube and saw in the side bar other videos showing that WP and Freise have had several altercations in the past. Freise has a hair up his ass for WP and has taken him out many times. I would not be surprised if Freise was warned after A1 that he is on egg shells.

Besides that, WP should know to keep his cool, no matter how blatant a take out may be.

Peick and Friese have history. Vince is a nice guy who races shall we say on the fine line. Many and myself included believe there are times when he crosses it. I don't agree with jumping side to side through rhythms, but a solid block pass is all good. His second incident with Peick was overly aggressive for that moment. Last lap main event it would be fine. Canards move on Dungey I felt was a little dirty. He didn't give him a inch and pushed him solidly into the tuff blocks

Really you have a rider who you expect to be top 10 at the season end and he blows it in a heated moment,he will have 2 no scores to start the series with just through being a hot head, should of just stomped the front disc remounted and got as many points as possible
