So I haven't mounted it yet due to a broken navicular suffered while mountain biking Christmas Eve day but here it is. Looks like it uses the rear mounting holes and clips to the frame in the front like they have in the past.

I see market potential for colored clamps. Never seen anything but basic silver and maybe a few in black.

I'm thinking of picking one of these up. I've got a 2012 KX 450 and I'm ready for something new. My chief complaint of the 2012 is that it didn't turn very well. Convince me this new one turns and I will be a happy camper and purchase one. Is anyone playing with different offsets yet, different knuckle and lowering arms for the rear. Just curious. Any input is appreciated. Thanks!!!
Thanks for everyone's input. I have mine ordered and get to pick it up on the 19th!!!

I posted this on the race shop forum but also on here in case people didn't see it there.

Well I was at my brother's dealership today looking at the new Kaw 450, and I'm finally going to make the jump from my KX250F to a new 450.
Been thinking about it for a long time but the previous Kaw 450's just seemed more suited for bigger and taller riders. And since I wanted to stay on Kaw I held off. But then I sat on a new one and rode a buddies.

Wow, it felt very similar to my 250. Very narrow in the middle and not so big and long feeling.

I'm a 58 year old vet rider and weigh 155. So I plan on sending the susp off to Factory Connection since they did such an awesome job on my 250.

My question is regarding a new pipe. I have it narrowed down to FMF or Pro Circuit. I don't really need more power as much as I'm looking to shave off some lb's. And they do look a hell of a lot better as well.

Any opinions on which would be best for me? I know they're both top quality products.
I just want to save weight as much as I can.

Thanks in advance!

I have the ti-6. Couldn't tell you weight savings but I do notice a power difference. I'm sure there's someone who has ridden with both to compare. I've always had good luck with PC stuff so it's just what I bought.

Fmf better low, mid, pc more mid, top, then it comes down to style, and price you want. Add a remap good fuel with either pipe, it will be even better. Fmf is a little louder.

They are almost identical in performance and weight. I bought the FMF with the blue can and carbon tip because I got a deal and it looks better to me.

I bought the FMF slip on to save the weight as I thought the power was fine stock. The FMF Muffler/mid-pipe is exactly 2 lbs in weight savings, from 6lbs 6oz to 4lbs 6oz.

I rode the 15 kawy, with the two pipes i mentioned, my 12 kawy had the full fmf 4.1 with megabomb. As far as i know the pipes for 2016 didnt change. Imo two great products. All comes down to budget, style, what you want. Post up your review if ya can. Thanks.

Rode my 450 for the first time yesterday.
I was running the stock recommended pressure in the fork, and i did not like it. The track was pretty rough and it was my first ride back after an injury so i was not at 100%, but i hated the forks. They felt too hard over braking bumps, but bottomed out over some of the bigger jumps. Can anyone give me some recommendations on what pressure in which chamber i should experiment with and what influence each chamber has?
I am 155pounds with gear btw.

Has anyone been able to get plastics yet? I've checked and no one seems to have any out yet. I usually run cycra and I contacted them. They told me mid to late april. Unsure

Cycra told me April as well. Acerbis just released the Shrouds, Ft and rear fenders and front plate for the '16

Contact Acerbis direct as they may not be at distributors yet.
