I bought the passenger side cabinets (Xtreme Garage Cabinets) from Menards. I liked the black finish, silver trim with aluminum top part. https://www.menards.com/main/tools-hardware/tool-storage/garage-cabinet…

I used wall mount cabinets along with a "slim" storage cabinet to give the garage 8" more floor space. Each cabinet was built using glue with extra screws to help keep them from twisting.

My van is not that big in comparison to a box van with space at a minimum & weight to consider, everything was made using timber frame & 6mm plywod for the paneling, then covered with 3mm wall board, the cabinets in the front were made from light weight 15mm campervan furniture board, the corner trims & edgings etc are available to buy for a nice finish.

I wanted the rear garage to be large enough to stand up in so you can change without dragging muck in the front, I made a sliding bed so that you get a full 6' bed.

Thanks, I'm in the building trade but have never had the patience for wood until I started this van, I got right into it & it was something different & quite relaxing to a point.

The trims you can get make it quite easy to get a good finish, realy just a bit of time scribing & cutting.

Near where I live is a caravan & motorhome dealer, I went and looked at how they had finished things, learn a lot just from looking. I will put some pics up of the finished van later.

Looks awesome! Post some updates when you get there. I just started a sprinter van. Got the insulation in, now I need to do my roof vent and wire the lights in. I'll post some photos when I make more progress.

The LED's lights are wired to a large marine battery in one of the cabinets along with a REALLY BRIGHT halogen 110v light for when I might need some serious light. The back is finished.. now I'll start on the front.

Can you stand up in that box van? Assuming you can if that's a full size door.

The doors a standard 80" (6ft 6") frame- lots of head room.

What does that slip tall cabinet measure from top to bottom, I see you didn't use the legs.

Also are those smaller slim cabinets really 31.25 wide?

I could use both but It seems by my measurements they are a tad to tall or wide, just wonder what they really are.

I bought them from Menards. The group of 4 are wall cabinets that measure 31-1/4" x 23-5/8" x 11-3/4" each. As they are wall mounted they don't include legs, so I built a toe-kick to attach them to. Also the tall slim floor cabinet on the end is attached to the toe-kick. If I tried using those with the legs it would have been to tall for the box and hit the door.

That's what I was wondering what the "tall slim floor cabinet" measured from top to bottom with out the legs.

That's with the legs, without the legs its 70.25 Tall. But I can triple check tonight if you need to be 100% sure

I used some cheap LED Tape lights off ebay ($16) and aluminum channel from amazon to attach them to the walls.

The channel has a nice frosted white lens that helps soften the lights. The lights can be changed from White, red, blue, green... and all in between.

Great build man! Do you happen to have the link to the lights?

Some pic's, all thats left to do is the lights in the back. Thinking about fitting a gas fridge, I am using a 12v plug in at the moment but very juicy on the leisure battery.The main bed above the garage pulls out to make a 6' bed, the front area is 1.5M square giving 3M2 of floor area, not very big but it works, the sliding bed gives room in the back to stand up & get changed. The water tank & gas bottle are in the garage area with an outside filler for the water tank.
My Son and I went all over in this year, can't wait to get away again.

Very impressive work. One question, I only see room for one bike. Are you planning to tow or just bring one bike?

Cancerman - When I do go to the track I'll only have my CRF450R and my Vintage MX'er (after I find one), but I put 3 full size bike on the back of my E250 Cargo van and this is 16" wider, so I should have little problems getting 3 bikes inside.

But I might already be selling her if I can come to terms on a older NASCAR rig for sale.

The board I use is 3mm wall board it is plywood with a face on it, you can get a few diffent colours and finishes. It is what caravan manufacturers use.
There is 6mm plywood behind it which is screwed to the van, then use silicon adhesive to stick the wall board to the 6mm plywood,

Not sure what I want to use. Priced tweed fabric to cover my panels with, its just under 400.00, was kinda shocked, figured it would be the cheapest route, that's not including the closed cell foam, glue, etc..

Seems like any route I go will be pretty expensive. I got a 158" sprinter and there is a lot of space to finish out.

Lights work great, but if its really dark dont expect to rebuild a transmission on the bench without a real 110v light.

It's been pretty cold so I have been slacking, but I'm back at it.. hole is cut. Now I need to figure out the best way to seal it up.
