What is a reasonable expectation for Blake this year? He was steadily improving all throughout last year, is being a championship contender out of the realm of possibility?

He did great in SX last year, expect podiums. If he stays consistent a championship is not out of reach but he will be dependent on others to crash IMO. He won't beat Dungey, Roczen, Stewart and Anderson week in and week out. Roczen and Stewart have crashed out of championships in the past.

I love Baggett but I don't expect him to contend for the championship. I expect to see him around the 5th place mark battling to get on the podium. It would be awesome to see him win some races and I hope he can but I don't expect him to.

He was impressive in Supercross this year but I think he should have done better in the outdoors. With more time on the bike now I'm hoping he can win some outdoor races. I wish we could undo 2013 Anaheim 1. I think Baggett's career would have been a lot different had he not broken his wrist that night.

Don't throw in the towel on BB4 just yet. The wrist injury sidetracked him for sure. I still think we have yet to see what he has to offer. His outdoor speed can be on another level when he's feeling it. Think 2012. He won 10 motos and was on the podium 18 motos. All while getting terrible starts!

Baggett seems to be doing things right, which is building. He will build into a very consistent rider and will become another Dungey at some point. I'm not sure where he will peak/plateau. If the top 3 guys crash out he will be there to capitalize. Unfortunately, Dungey is pretty confident and consistent. He has also proven he isn't afraid to kick it up a notch to match or even beat the competition when necessary.

I just don"t feel Blake has show quite as many "flashes of brilliance" as say Jason Anderson has. He has been pretty consistent but hasn't really shown race winning speed on a 450 yet. Hopefully he continues to build from last year. Imho I see him hovering around 4-8th place fairly consistently this year in sx

I don't see him improving over last year. I think many will have him covered although I do expect him to be consistent.

I think Baggett will be top 7 any night. Certain nights challenging for the podium. In his interviews throughout the spoke about "being there for every round" and his most recent ones he said that he needs to step it up to contend. I expect him to push the envelope, especially outdoors this year.

An outdoor win, for sure. Championship is a bit out of the question given last year; but I'd love to be proven wrong.

I'm pretty sure he will be a championship contender outdoors! Make a couple of podiums indoors too. Bagget can never be under estimated.

In all due respect he will be around the same position as last year. He had a great rookie season but no way he moves ahead of roczen, dungey, barcia, canard, to Mac Yada Yada yada

By the end of the season I would be surprised if he wasn't in the top five for sure!

He beat Kenny, Eli, Barcia, Dean etc a lot on 250s, but he talks about being small too much for me. Not sure if mentally he thinks he can hang on a 450.

There are more likely Race-Winners in '16 than we've had in a long, long time. I'm of the opinion that Blake is one of them.

He and Anderson both seems to be on a path of "smart & careful" 1st year and "Get'er done" 2nd yr.
The 2nd year is upon us and they both look awfully damn fast.
And, now, we have Marvin, too.
Will Cooper race some 450SX?
Like I said, lots of VERY fast guys in this upcoming SX season.

I believe Blake will finish the season ahead of JS, thats for sure based solely on consistency and racing all 17 rds. As for top suzuki, KRoc has that spot at the conclusion of the season. Blake will be 5th overall when all is said and done for sx.

Is RJ still in his corner? If so, you can't count him out.

Unless RJ is irrelevant now. Wink

I thought he did better than expected in SX last year, but probably underperformed slightly in the outdoors. I expect to see him around the same again in SX this year, but have a better outdoor season. I don't think he's going to win anything, but he's a solid top 8 guy any day

He finished the 2015 SX Series in 5th...and the MX Series in 4th.

I predict the sky will likely be blue most days.

He was good in the SX races but a letdown in the outdoor series. Bagget was just as good as Tomac and Roczen outdoors, if not even better. I expected him to get a few moto wins. He was consistent, but we didn't see any flashes of brilliance.

Outdoors he was often 1min + back of the leaders. SX 30 - 40 sec. How exactly do you guys think he is going to make up this amount of time?

Those of us that're seeing what's going on out here are paying attention. That's all.

Bitter, much?

How'd he do in SX last year?

We get it. You don't see any potential in him AND you have no clue as to how things can and DO change between seasons.

So, again, how'd he do at say...Daytona? New Jersey? Dallas? Exactly how many times was he waaaaay back as you say?

How did he do? Just fine, but 30 seconds back isnt even sniffing a win. Your predictions are comedy gold. Like when you picked BB and Seely to be battling for wins outdoors. Keep all that great insight coming.

He's at the top of my second tier rider list... Anderson also... These 2 guys are very close to that next level & could go
to it with a win or 2 both indoor and outdoors...

You spell Tedesco how I spell Dungey.

Here is his TBLs for last year in order:
27
39
51
37
21
33
17
29
24
10
61
50
38
26
25
32
45

30+ behind 10 times in 17 races including New Jersey... average of 33 seconds back for all 17 races
Are you sure you are paying attention?
So my question still stands, what is he going to do to make up this kind of time?
