New to the site and could use some help from you guys helping me make up my mind and give advice on what I should do. I currently race in the novice class I own a 2015 yz250f and for this season coming up I am getting 2nd bike next week. I race 250c and open c and can run top 10s in open c on the 250f. I was wondering if you guys think it would be a good idea to get a 450 to run for the open class or just get another 250f make it my race bike and keep the bike I have now as a practice only bike. Also I am getting very good deals on either one I get 250f - 7,150 otd and the 450 - 8,150 otd. Let me know what you guys think.

Another 250f to make it a race bike. Race it in both classes.

Kind of hard choice for me , will probably go with 250f but not sure though

Stay with the 250. That new bike has more than enough power for a C rider. It will make you faster and safer in the long run.

Shootouts are saying this years 450 is very easy and manageable to ride. My main reason for wanting the 450 is that it's bulletproof

A 450 will always be less manageable than a 250 because of the gyro effect of the bigger motor. If you only had one bike I would have suggested 450. But if you have two 250's then you should be okay with not putting too many hours on either one.

Got to ride a new yz450f this weekend. Wow. Easy bike to ride compared to a 16 ktm 450 i rode a week before. Both bone stock. The ktm was too compact

I say get a 450. Use it as your practice bike, less maintenance seeing as the engines are bullet proof.

450 for a practice bike, 250 for a practice bike. Ha, you match the 250 better in size. The 450 will help you manage the 250 better. The 450 will last much longer engine wise. 250 is better for you, unless you just want to use the 450 for practice to make you better on the 250.

I have 250f race bike and now 16 model 450f that i been practicing. If you are not really big and strong guy i would say you should get another 250f and this will keep your both bikes fresh as you rider less each one. 450f will make you ride just smooth and lazy but another 250f keeps you getting faster.

ah sorry didnt see that you weight only 70kg so 250f is only way for young guy.

Seems like yz is the way to go I was thinking about switching to Ktm for next year but it's not worth it at all.
