I want to play the real tracks for the year or at least the previous year. Would you play F1 without Monaco, Spa or Monza?

It may be coming. The 2016 MEC track has already been created. Will we be able to get it? I don't know, but obviously the guys at Rainbow/Nordic are working with the guys at Feld, which is a step in the right direction.

it would be nice if they busted out with some monster energy tracks......

Got some mixed feelings for the game, but i got the early acces on steam anyway so i'm looking forward to try the full release next week!

Rythm Racing could be really fun online!

For anyone planning on picking this up on Tuesday for PS4, they've pushed back the release date at gamestop. It was Tuesday 10/27, now it's 10/30 which is a Saturday. MVA's facebook page is saying the game will be available on Tuesday through the Playstation store. I'll be canceling my preorder at gamestop and downloading it from PSN Tuesday.

I asked them on their facebook page and they are saying it'll be available when the PS Store updates. I also asked the guys over at the PS4 Reddit Page and was told the game was included in Playstation's weekend update as being released Tuesday, so it sounds like it'll for sure be available later today. I've got my ps4 sitting at home on standby mode and the Playstation Store up on my computer in class so I can start the download as soon as it's out. Can't wait to put in some motos tonight.

Trailer got me pretty hyped up, looks good ...

Still waiting on the Steam Release for pc... Hopefully soon Woohoo

***Update: PC - Steam patch is finally out!

I like the new rhythm racing (Steam version), remembering the layout in one straight line can be tricky at first. Graphics are still a little muddy but honestly I can live with it. FPS is smooth and no crashes so far.

The only thing I would say is that imo the Nationals don't quite work as well as I'd previously hoped. They're by no means terrible but, idk, with some of the tracks being so narrow and the change in physics; it just feels a little like bumper cars and less about great lines and momentum (i.e Reflex). The physics are a little more point and shoot, which for me doesn't quite work on some of the Outdoor circuits (though to be fair they were originally made for a different game). Still for what it's worth I'm glad they're there, and when it comes to Supercross I think the game mechanics are much better suited, which obviously makes sense.

Insanely bad FPS on my PS4 when doing any of the new stuff. Like, unplayably bad. Never had any FPS issues on my PS4 before.

Frame rate issues (performance optimizing) is being addressed with the next patch, which is currently in test.

Such a shit game, no fun factor at all. Never seen such a series where the sequels are always worse than the previous release. But what can you expect when it's essentially the same people that continuously got it wrong the more they released.

Everything feels wrong. I couldn't give a shit about real bikes and unlocking parts, just get the physics on point.

Right on. Still, don't want to be a negative nancy here, but how do they release a game with such major performance issues? I see on the MvA forums that this is a common issue on PS4.

Short answer: retailer shelf dates can not be missed.

alive was somewhat of a decent game only cuz the preload click and sometimes you can get a "realistic" whip...but as far as bringin it back to straighten out....you gotta be kidding right? As for supercross the entire physic of the game is completely wrong. Why do you spin out when leaning back....aren't you supposed to GAIN traction...not lose it? The preload is screwed up, you always go in a different direction. Also how do you expect kids to think riding in s anything like this....MXGP is by far the most realistic game out there..aside from the assisted scrubs and whips I mean really...you think I want to conform to how they think I should play or have my own steez. Reflex had the best whip physic.......EVER..non debate able only cool think about supercross is some gear choices and the two strokes...even that is screwed...

P.s. I refrained from the cursing...so everytime I say screwed or freakin...I mean fuckin or fucked

Traded the XBone for a PS4 the other day and picked it up. Love it so far, way more than SX on the pa3 and 360, havin fun with it. The key to nice whips and scrubs is using only the right stick.

The "Encore" update (I'm on PC) does make the game a little better. I will say that I've seen much more activity online since the Encore update. It's still not going to satisfy anyone.

Here's my take on this game: You've got one (very vocal) camp screaming for the reincarnation of "Reflex", and then you have another camp wanting a game more like Untamed. What we get is a happy medium that makes no one happy. I detect elements of Reflex in Encore (physics, track deformation) and then I can see elements of Untamed (crazy fast, unscaled tracks, ease of play). It's one of those situations where you're trying to please everyone, and pleasing no one.

For sure the Encore update on PC has been pretty fun! I've been doing lots of leaderboard hotlap attempts on the SX tracks and it's pretty fun. The game might not be that realistic but it has some appeal on the fun side of putting down fast clean laps with all the big rhythms.

There has also been some online races, communities starting to pop up, i've been doing some races with people from this steam community http://steamcommunity.com/groups/SMXChampionship and it's been lots of fun.

2 things that annoy me at the moment are, online the start gate often glitches out, like people starting halfway down the straightaway etc, and the 2nd thing is how to go really really fast and jump insane stuff, basically you need to switch the controller layout preset to another one that allows manual shifting, for some reason you can ride ALLOT faster this way then with the automatic shifting, you just throw the bike in 5th gear and pretty much leave it in there the whole race lol!

Still overall been a positive experience so far, and if Rainbow / Nordic listens to the community and fixes some stuff and keeps releasing some content it can only get better!

In the last two days, I've done a ton of online (multi-player) races. The most positive thing about the update is that it has sparked more online activity. I'm going to check out that Steam race league.

I wish someone would take MXGP2 and make a US addon for it with our SX and Nationals tracks. Tried MX Simulator a bunch of times but it has too steep a learning curve for it to be mainstream. Need something like it but friendlier....

Yeah, getting matched up with players online seems to happen 100% when I play, even at odd hours. The game has also grown on me the more I get used to the physics. Scrubbing/whipping becomes pretty fun, you just have to know when it's appropriate.

My only complaint with online is that disconnects happen all the time, and I think especially when the group leader leaves. And anytime you join a new game, it starts at round 1 again. I'd prefer the tracks randamized with player voting, I'm getting extremely sick of the first 3 tracks (Leader leaves or get dc'd by that point.)

Ive been playing Encore on my ps4 a lot lately and I think the game is a lot of fun. There has been a couple of times racing online that we had a full gate. I havent played online since the MCM2 days so its almost brought some nostalgia back for me. The update for randomized online tracks and the nationals frame rate glitch fix will be out really soon according to the developers on the mx vs atv forum.

If the bike is maxed out then it's not the bike that needs to get faster.....

Put in your hours. Learn to use pre jump and use the clutch. Save the factory chassis until you can lay down a complete lap smoothly. Once you master the upgrade chassis, then go factory.
