Maybe I didnt make the "purpose" part clear enough for you, Rossi stated that he purposely took him wide, that looked like hard racing to me and both going in way too FAST, doesn't mean I agree with it tho. LMFAO....

Not to mention that this is on the last lap and not at the start of a race and this is 2013... LMFAO
I rest my case.

You dont have a case mate, I said this season as you stated he and others had done it a hundred times this season.

Anyways, lets just agree to disagree, you have your take on it and I have mine, fact remains that he was found guilty and penalized.

I just hope we see good racing start to finish on the last race without the BS.

Fact remains Rossi was penalized for something that`s not in a rule book. Contact was made by Marquez.

I know they run the slider setup at the end of the bars to protect thing in a crash......but it is pretty coincidental that the front tucked so hard and quick, at such a slow speed when that leg came off the rear set. I mean the tire has no lean angle on it, no load from speed...and just tucks that fast......hmmmmmm
Show it ! Bring the proof

Here's your fact mate.

"On 25th October 2015 during the MotoGP race of the Shell Malaysia Motorcycle Grand Prix, you deliberately ran wide on Turn 14 in order to force another rider off line, resulting in contact causing the other rider to crash.

This is considered to be irresponsible riding causing danger to other competitors and is therefore an infringement of Article 1.21.2 of the FIM Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix Regulations."

MM has not done anything wrong that can be proved, he was racing Rossi, and he is allowed to do that, it may be an unwritten law, but those are enforced by the riders, and MM will be battling for a championship again and that may come back to hunt him in the years ahead,

Rossi lost it on the track, by looking at him so many times and forcing MM that far off the racing line, it forced a penalty in my mind, a lot like the Chad Reed penatly (but handled better and like Chad wanted it to be, after the race),

In many other sports, the reaction is often punished more than the original minor offence that caused the rider/player to react,
the first post i have read in this thread that does have rossi tin foil hat on .

thursday press conference rossi starts attacking marc and makes it personal for no reason .

last weekends race , Marc passes lorenzo with 2 corners to go , taking 5 points off him , Ianonne passes Rossi on the last lap taking point off Rossi . How is Marc helping Lorenzo ???

the race , marc looses the front and runs wide lorenzo goes through , next lap the same corner he runs wide again but not as wide but rossi goes through , then starts the tit for tat with both of them passing just about every other corner with some great racing for spectators , until rossi run up the inside closes the throttle and aims at the out side of the track to run marc off on purpose . when someone goes up the inside of you you back out of the throttle and turn back up the inside of them like rossi did a lap or 2 earlier , but when the person slows down and keeps aiming at the outside of the track what do you do .

what rossi did was try to run marc off the track on purpose this according to the rules is not allowed , up until that point no rules had been broken , rossi broke the rules causing the crash and was penalised for it , any other rider in the paddock would have got a black flag so he got off lightly .

if he looses the world championship now he has no one to blame but himself , he has always played mind games with the riders over the years getting in their heads and messing them up this time it has bitten him in the arse .

people can jump up and down all they want simple fact is he broke the rules what he did was illegal , facts are facts

What I saw in the video above, was VR took him a bit wide, maybe a bit of brake checking. I also watched as MM turned it in, stood it up when he realized Rossi was done playing games, and MM then turns it back into Rossi, when he had plenty of opportunity to stay clear from any contact.

The kid fucked with Papa bear, and got his ass bit. No matter what the outcome of the championship, Rossi will leave a much greater legacy from his career than Marquez can ever hope to.

Totally right!!
100% - MM was clear of Rossi when he stood it up and braked - He then chose to accelerate into Rossi - The crash was the result of MM choice to drive into Rossi - MM to blame - He could have chosen to continue to brake as he ready was doing. They both would have just slowed right down.

The disgusting thing which gains no respect is MM's lie about the incident - Who can respect that ? Plus Race directions clear corruption gets shown for all to realize !

But everyone sees that that it`s not true. Marquez crashed cause he turned and accelerated in to Rossi, no?

Here you also can see Marques on "purpose" taking away Rossi line, no? And also you can see Rossi take away Maques line on "purpose, no?

My personal view is that, none of this would have happened had Rossi not run him wide, no?

Anyways, I'll leave it at that, Rossi is the GOAT on 2 wheels, just a shame he threw it away like that.

I agree with you. I think a lot of people are blinded by the fact that it was Rossi who is an icon. Marquez raced hard, they both did, but that's the exact reaction that Rossi should have expected. If Rossi hadn't have said anything in the press conference then this wouldn't have happened. Anyone who says that MM could have easily pulled away from Rossi is kidding themselves, there is absolutely nothing to prove this, it's just an opinion. I can understand why Rossi was pissed, but I can also understand why Marquez rode the way he did. People need to understand that this was 2 guys who dislike each other, going to war and both being as bad as each other. Not Marquez being totally at fault and Rossi a helpless victim as many people choose to see it

I also agree that the petition is a total waste of time. The stewards don't need to see a petition to know that people will be disappointed by this decision, it's obvious, but they did what they had to do. Public opinion is not going to change their decision, it would set a very bad precedent to remove a penalty purely based on popularity

I'm not blinded by anything, as I'm not a MotoGP follower or a fan of any specific rider! How anyone doesn't see that MM running his bike into VR is what caused the crash is beyond explanation.
Exactly it proves all is not legal and correct in the powers that control MotoGP ! Which betting crime lord controls it is a better question ?

There was no Leg !

all I'll say is whether Rossi was right or wrong to take him out there there's plenty of room for Marquez to avoid contact.. Like I've said Rossi gave him options and Marquez took the wrong one.. Also this is just after when Rossi apparently went all Jackie Chan and either kicked his front wheel out from under Marquez or accurately kicked his front brake lever all without looking (Edit: it took me so long to compose this post I got beaten to my point haha)

This " On 25th October 2015 during the MotoGP race of the Shell Malaysia Motorcycle Grand Prix, you deliberately ran wide on Turn 14 in order to force another rider off line "

Happens all day long in all forms of racing ! Its part and parcel of racing - Cars F1 Bike MX SX - It is what they call Race Craft ! Or commentators say " He can ride a wide bike , car .... " Now all of a sudden it reverse grid for them that ply their trade ?

Go On - Tell us another one - Maybe we all laugh ?

It was "hard racing up until the point where Rossi ran him out wide"

Really? You should rewatch the race. Marquez would pass Rossi, then cruise, then pass Rossi, then cruise... And his passing was unnecessarily close to Rossi, forcing him to focus on not crashing instead of racing fast. That's not hard racing, that's messing with someone.
You see what you want to see. I didn't see anywhere where you could definitively say that Marquez had cruised so that Rossi would pass him back. It's virtually impossible to say that from what we saw on screen, and lap times and sector times don't indicate anything to that end either. To say that Marquez was deliberately going slower to mess with Rossi, or that he was easily fast enough to be at the front is stupid, there's absolutely nothing to say that that is the case. Marquez even said before and after the race that he would struggle at the beginning because the bike does not work as well with a heavier fuel load, but it would come to him at the end

Are you serious? So because of words, WORDS, said at a press conference MM is justified in his actions? Because of something said at a press conference? GTFOH!

Let's see....spoken words said at a press conference vs. tangible threatening actions on a race course at speed possibly ending in serious injury? Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me......
No. I didn't say his actions were justified, but they aren't surprising given the situation. What did Rossi expect when he decided to verbally attack a young kid who is super fast and has nothing to lose or gain? Of course he's going to ride agressively.

You can argue back and forth about who's fault the contact was, but you can't deny that it wouldn't have happened had Rossi not tried to run Marquez off the track. For that reason, he gets a penalty, the intention was there to run another rider off the track, and as a result someone crashed, it's reckless riding

anyone that says Marc slowed rossi , also has to say Rossi slowed Marc as rossi stuck it up the inside every chance he got , at the level these guys are they are at the limit every corner , you stick it up the inside means you run wide the guy behind gets a better drive and beats you to the next corner .

they were not that far behind lorenzo so they did drop off the pace to much even with all the passing

I read the media in Spain is all about poor MM, how he was put in danger, how reckless Rossi rides,
how 46 should be sat down blah blah blah.

This quote off another forum 'bout sums it up in one guys opinion.

"I was talking to an Irish friend who lives in Spain. He was telling me Spain wants and will have a world champion. They can't get one in Moto 2 or 3. It wouldn't matter if Jesus Christ came down from the heavens appealed for Rossi. Or even if Rossi won the race and Lorenzo fell off. Lorenzo is going to be the champ."

Show me FIM rule that says you can`t use all the track and have to stay on a "racing" line? Marques was behind and it was up to him to slow down. He did the opposite. Why was Rossi penalized? Where is a racing line? Is it marked on a track?

any reason no one is upset with Ianone racing Rossi hard at Phillip Island, you know because you are not ment to race the championship contenders

and here is Mike Webb explaining why Rossi got penalised

http://www.crash.net/motogp/news/224594/1/motogp-race-director-explains…

Iannone was racing hard/sportsmanlike, difference between that racing and the fucking around MM was doing last week.

Was MM racing hard to move forward and gain positions? Sure didn't look like it.

Well, it's not like he got red carded for head butting someone in the WC final . . .

Bummer for Rossi, but he knew MM was going to be messing with him and he gave into it. Unless he already had given in to losing the title to Lorenzo and just said the heck with it.

And for all you peeps out there, this is nothing new from Dorna and the FIM.
Dorna used to do the same kind of crap when they owned the MXGps.

Believe me, this is just business as usual for them.
