As cool looking as the 100% AirCraft downhill bike helmet is, it made me wonder if there is a plan in the works for 100% to do a moto helmet?

Here's a pic of the bike helmet:

That does look bad ass. I really wish the 6d looked better. I'm on board with the safety features they offer but can't stand the look. I'll more than likely get one and just deal. But if 100% offered something similar looking to this with features like the 6d I'd be all over it.

If they do it will no doubt be an iconic design.

They might think it's a dangerous place to go, if you sink the money into production and no one buys it you've kind of shot yourself in the foot, look at the Leatt helmet. Though 100% is fairly popular with everyone these days.

Exactly why I asked, that's all I can remember from them! And some apparel in the Chaparral catalogs I would scan through, pre-online shopping.

I used to get so excited when a new chap catalog came out. I would mark it up, dog-ear pages and circle cool shit. Then I would conveniently place it on the back of my dad's toilet around Christmas time and hope he noticed haha

they do make a moto helmet just has ONEindustries logos on it. They pretty much just redesigned the 661 mtb helmet.

Who cares what 100% did before, the guys in charge now are Marc Blanchard and Ludovic Boinnard, the guys who co-created One Industries. They're in the business for 20 years, they know their stuff.

The question is when are they gonna update the line of goggles. the frame has been the same for all these years now and while the colors are often very nice looking the frame is far from top notch in my opinion.

I remember that Keefer was bummed about the fact that he had to wear 100% goggles when he went and rode a few Canadian nationals, he had the same problem as i and many others have. The frame pinches my nose, it's really bad.

But i guess that is subjective!

I remember them for their numbers. They were a break from the tall skinny numbers of the 80's. Plus if you bought the numbers they came with the iconic 100% sticker . . . so pro!

Drew lien started 100% by just selling stickers, shirts and hoddies. He was Johnny Os and Donnie Hansens buddy so they wore his stuff and ran his stickers. Then in 82 he was looking at a factory Honda and noticed how trick their cables were and made something similar called cable savers and sold them.

Drew was the hardest core of moto fans and helped out anyone who asked, he couldn't ride very good but he loved everthing moto. In the end, he made what he thought was a good business deal to grow his clothing line ideas with a large mx clothing company and he got screwed, they had no intentions of doing anything with his clotjing line, they just wanted the name and put it on a shelf.

Drew was one of the good guys and for him to get burned and go down the way he did is a sad thing for sure.

How was he forced to wear the goggles, all riders have choices.

Very subjective. For me, 100% is one of the very few goggles that doesn't pinch my nose.

I agree, 100% is the best fitting and least pinching brand I've tried in recent years.

It was fox that had bought the 100% name and shelved it, right?

The only thing in common from the graphics company you remember from the 80's and 90's to the current company is the name and brand they purchased. Completely different people and organization.

100% doesn't make the One Industries helmet... Ludo used to own One Industries but isn't involved anymore and started 100%.

The Air Craft MTB helmet would take the experience they had from One Industries, but it's quite a bit different and a new design.

Don't forget the number plate backgrounds. Made with this crazy adhesive that jet fuel couldn't remove! I always loved cutting backgrounds on new bikes, but man did I hate the mess the glue left on the edges. It was always 100% backgrounds, and Pro Digits numbers!

Then look at the Bell Flex. I just picked one up for my older boy instead of the 6d. The 6d isn't very comfortable & has no real cheek pads to speak of. I could push the chin bar right into my face on the tightest helmet I could fit into. I have always been a Shoei/Arai guy but wanted the new technology. The Bell is very impressive, IMO.............

I just read about this helmet online. It is carbon kevlar, etc... It seems top of the line. What prevents it from being a moto helmet anyway? Those mtn bikers go just as fast as moto anyway!

That would be the best looking moto helmet out there, in my opinion.
