You're right NEVER was a little strong, and that's inaccurate. I will refrase, "Grant has very rarely been in great shape". That's largely due to being injured often, and being forced to race himself into shape during the season. Over his career he's said multiple times in interviews that he was "racing himself into shape".

I like Josh Grant, and really rspect him for the man he developed into. Entrepreneur, family man and just down to earth guy that I'd have a beer or two with. Personally I believe his lack of fitness over the years (yes due to multiple injuries) shows how talented he honestly is. For the last 10+ years Josh Grant has been able to beat the best in the world on any given day regardless of being hampered by injuries and not being able to get the proper fitness base under him, which takes years of being healthy and extremely hard work.

Townley is a badass and has proved time and time again he can run with the best when he's healthy. The battle I witnessed between him and RV @ Red Bud 2007 will forever be etched into my brain.

Wish Ben the best and hope he remains happy and healthy. Does anyone know if he's entertaining offers outside of New Zealand? Seems to have a pretty good gig there and nothing like being at home.

that's long gone now hell be 31 in December. its too bad his career was a lot like helpers jut one injury after another. some of the best riding ive ever seen from him was the pc days with RV. epic battles
