I thought at one point RC received the highest contract a manufacturer ever paid, F1 money. Either way no athlete in any sport gets paid like they did from 2000 to 2006. That was the height of sponsor payouts in all sports. Hell if you had a boat and entered to fish a tournament even as a beginner you could get your truck and boat wrapped and call yourself a pro. Sponsors were throwing money every where. No one gets paid like that anymore. RC was winning at the peak of payouts.

I know George Holland invested his money right, pastrana probably made more then anyone with the time spent on a bike doing everything from collecting ama championships to his freestyle career and building nitro circus into what it is today. I think he even made a small fortune with his 4 wheel career. Rc made the most in his years of domination and reed I think invested his money to atleast double what he's made on the bike. In the good years RC stewart and reed were making more off manufacturers base salary then the top guy these days make all year having flawless seasons. I would Guess pastrana made more then anyone else when it comes to his success on a motorcycle. Then RC.

Travis Pastrana's name is more of a household word than Ricky Carmichael's will ever because of his mainstream diversity. I agree that RC made a butt load when he was flying high, and so were Stewart & Reedy...but I'd be shocked if any of them were worth the real deal money that TP is...and he's still making it today.

dungeys salary is 2 mill year rc was 4.8 mill a year with zuki so you're wrong

Of the more current group, I think MC laid the foundation for RC to really make a mint. I am sure they both did really well, but RC peaked at a time when the economy was booming so people were throwing crazy money around.
Actually, he didn't just sail away on his yacht. He invented the RED cameras, high end digital video cameras that helped usher in the era of digital for cinema/TV.

But, yeah, he can dock his yacht on one of the 3 islands he owns. Must be nice...
