Febvre and Web are animals! Febvre sets his fastest lap of the race with 3 laps to go and Cooper sets his fast lap on the last lap.

Not bad for a kid who never raced a 450 before as a pro, and Febvre is a really cool, really fast and really competitive dude! Watch out for Anderson if he gets a better start...

Fair play to Webb, not a massive fan of some of the stuff he does but the kid can ride and you can't help but love his bulldog spirit.

Webb didn't try and t-bone Febvre at all. He just messed up the rut carrying too much speed, fair enough. Great race from both those guys

If Webb didnt have Grant in front of him for a few laps I think he coulda put a gap on Romain. Kudos to Romain.

I didn't expect anything from Davi. I was just pointing out what a lack luster Performace he had.

Cooper is probably a pretty good bet for the OA unless Febvre has some superhuman resistance to heat, 4:00 will be close to the hottest part of the day.

Hope Simpson is ok.

But JT$ said he would be top 5 Whistling

What a race! Both guys looked they had the opportunity to take each other out but they didn't, so no point in anyone bitching. Just great close racing.

I wouldn't call that lackluster, he hasn't raced an MX race for 3 years and he had an horrible 2015 SX year. 16th is a good finish for Millsaps!

He`s french. They get some heat just like italians and spaniards. The rest of the euros are fucked.

That race was pretty insane outfront. Maybe Febvre's best race this year, in his top 10 for sure the day he retires (like the video of Tortelli). 4 way battle, then 3 way, then dual, then some big fireworks and suspense until the last turns, tough to ask for a better show. I think I will even watch the second race although here it will be very late (1 to 2 am!)

Nice charge by Anderson too who could join this battle in moto 2, and great race from Webb, Grant and Townley !

I hope to see more of Musquin, if Webb can do it, Musquin should be able to get at least closer to the top 5.

Imagine if Dungey, Barcia, Roczen, Tomac, Canard, the Stewarts and Reed were out there... not to mention Desalle.

Or Martin, Plessinger, Savatgy, Martin, Hampshire, Bogel, Osborne, Forkner... not to mention Herlings.

This race has potential.

Webb took the holeshot, and he was not able to pull a gab.. The whole race Fevre was 3-5 sec after webb. Webb had the chance, gave it his all but it wasnt enough.. But great for his first race on a 450.

That was awesome!

Febvre is amazing, already has the title so only racing for pride. He didn't have to win the moto, he just wanted to prove that he could.

And what heart and desire by Webb (and Grant before the heat got to him), the second moto is going to be very interesting to see who can handle the exhaustion and not make mistakes.

If Anderson gets a better start, it could be a 4 rider battle for the overall.

I dont know. Febvre looked like he was on pace and sizing up the two guys in front of him. He did look spent on the podium though. See how he does in moto 2.

Do you expect Webb to repeat a race like this?
I'm not sure, I was very surprised that he didn't back it down at one point considering he usually races the little bike
Race 2 will be even hotter and rougher. But yeah the Euros are probably feeling the heat as well.

Davie has been through a lot of shit, for him to suck it up and stay out there is a victory in its own. I hope he stays healthy for next season.
