Actually, the first time I met the man known as BQ365 was with Ryan Voit at Cooperland in 2005(ish). Brett, at the time I believe you were wearing one of those two piece Arai helmets? It was custom painted of course.
A cool Brett story: While he had a bummed leg this spring, Brett and I were cruising around in Guys golf cart watching AJ throw down some nasty whips. They were awesome! Anyways, I was talking with Brett saying how cool it is him doing what he is doing. He said "Yeah, I just hope noone figures me out and how I'm not really that cool."
Keep doing what your doing dude! Its cool to see how far you and Dayton have come since one Facebook post a few years ago.
Any SX plans possibly? Maybe one of two of the west rounds of maybe Dallas?
Favorite track growing up? 500, Cooperland, 59th?

Wednesday, Nate Adams, Billy Laninovich and I went out to Beaumont to do some trail riding and hit some jumps for a bit. As soon as we got there, my back brake was acting up and only working part of the time. We were about halfway into a trail ride and I was pretty close behind Nate when we dropped down a pretty good, rain rutted hill. My brake completely stopped working about 1/4 of the way down. I went full banzai down, jumping from rut to rut and luckily missed killing Nate by just a slim bit. He got to the bottom and was so pumped cause he thought I did it on purpose cause I was just a bad dude.... I should have just kept letting him think that!
Nah, no SX for me!
Favorite track growing up was definitely Cooperland. When the place was prime, it was heaven on earth!

The eye is much better these days! Things could have ended way worse for me on that one. I still have some problems when I get in certain light or don't get enough rest, but I'm counting my blessings!
Will we see some onetwofive riding when you holding it pinned and throwing it sideways in the future? Would love that! Have a great day and good luck with everything!
Does Dayton ever break loose and ride?
From 2010-2012, I had a bunch of stuff happen off the bike that really made me not want to ride much. I definitely didn't have a plan to be able to do what I am now. I always loved to whip and always wanted to be in X Games whip, but was always too embarrassed to try. I didn't wanna fail. Then I went riding at a private track in Texas at the end of 2012. It was a track with a bunch of huge jumps and it was a super windy day. There was one triple step up that was a direct crosswind and the only choice if you were going to jump it was throw the bike as hard as you could to the left. Turns out there happened to be a photographer there on the day that I threw the biggest whips I had ever done! After that photo being my first Instagram post with over 100 likes, I was pumped... And at that time I had never even tried whipping it off a ramp and had only hit one a couple times for that matter. I made a Facebook post after that saying if I could get 365 likes, I would try to get into X Games. I never thought that was possible, but less than an hour after I had opened my mouth, there was no going back. All of the sudden, I had a seemingly realistic goal and dirtbikes were once again fun!
That's where Dayton comes in. We had both grown up in Oklahoma but never really hung out. He moved to Colorado to go to school but was coming back for each break to see his family. A bit before all that happened in Texas, he had messaged me on Facebook saying he was starting to make Moto videos and wanted to film with me when he came home next. We made a couple videos before we decided we needed to start our Road to X Games series. We paid for every bit of what we did and had so much fun doing it. It was the time of our lives for sure. As you know, I didn't end up getting to X Games that year. But MotoSport.com had been watching the whole series and as soon as it ended, they called Dayton wanting to hire him. He was only there a couple weeks before they ended up hiring me too!
And I still haven't made X Games... But even if I never do, I'll still be happy!

I get Dayton on a bike once in awhile! Not as often as I would like, but I think that's about to change! He's actually a really good rider!
It's looking like Hanny will have his own team and hopefully MotoSport.com is able to be a part of it again. Josh is a good dude!
Also, please do more videos like the one at Canard's property with the helo filming crew. That shit was bananas!
