I heard the suzuki 250 team will be sponsored by PSI pipes, use Answer "roost boost" spark enhancers, and are contractually obligated to run those two-piece sidewinder rear sprockets.

Wow, that is surprising. I figured since they were using Sidewinder sprockets that Vic would negotiate a package deal and have the team use Krause Kannon exhaust systems. Tongue

Fox would be tite, but FLY has to be loaded with cash right now. They sell so much of that shit. Almost every truck I see with motos in the back has a fly sticker on there. Snowmobile crowd rocks it. They're prob ready to go big on a team like that.

PSI made the Krause pipes, so there is no conflict of interest. I think theyll also be running Simons 'anti-cavitation' fork kits instead of air. If all goes well, look for suzuki to finally capture the coveted title of 'Camel Supercross Champions'.

TLD would fit well..... I'm also a big fan of Shift personally but the new TLD kit looks awesome.
TLD and PC had some kind of falling out a year or two back... TLD no longer does the design work for PC's team.

IMHO FOX would probably be the best fit for that team, although I am most partial to FLY as a company, aside from TLD which is beyond the best looking.

Tim Gasjer runs Shift gear with some ugly helmet and alpinestars boots. Pc going to shift could basically allow fox to put gear on Pc riders without forcing their boots and helmets on them. Makes sense business wise

This does make a lot of sense actually.

Head to tow gear deals are all the rage these days but some people just don't want to give up their boots or helmet.

That would be a great way for shift to get some needed exposure.

However, isn't shifts theme/purpose the counter culture mx crowd?

We're talking about Fox because Fox needs a 250F team for next year, not Shift.

Sweet mother love of pete those things were freaking ugly. Anybody ever see a rider with a Krause pipe riding elbows up? Me neither. Laughing

1999...Ricky was the only one to have a Fox deal, everyone else wore THOR. I think it may have been the first year for THOR/PC.

I would want PC to go with Fox, nothing against Fly, but switching over to Fox seems more logical. I think that the combos would look better if they went to Fox but it's been a long run for THOR & PC, all the late 90's and early 00's PC teams were badass looking, but for me Thor hasn't made anything that has made me absolutely want to run out and buy it the day it hits shelves. I've liked Thor and there is SOME stuff I like that they make now a days but I always find gear that I like better (like Alias, Fox, Shift, etc.) Now if Thor made some retro 90's stuff again like from the Fro era, then count me in.

Here's the thing though, it doesn't matter what company gets the deal because Mitch wants to run one design per season and he picks the design. It doesn't matter how cool the gear is that the company has, Mitch likes a uniform look and won't go for anything remotely outside the norm design wise.

I read a Ricky interview where he said Mitch told him to run the Axo gear. Ricky didn't and mitch got pissed and threatened to fine him something like $1000 each time he didn't. But RC was winning so mitch kinda forgot about the whole thing. I believe it was in RX after RC retired.

I thought that pic was taken when RC dropped back down to the 125's for 1 race - and had his own fox deal for the 250s..

No it was 1999. Ricky rode 250 indoors for factory Kawi(Fox contract started), and after a rough go in SX first year he dropped back down to win his third 125 outdoor title for Mitch.

Also the above picture doesn't appear to be Steel City where he dropped back down. That was in 2001 to help Mike Brown secure the championship and to beat Barnetts all-time 125 win record.
