its just a sticker , so you can just peel it off . i since i moved the family back to Europe i got a small apartment to stay in here for work . i only have a car space under the building so i use the van as garage as well . i just un load when i get home wash everything and load it back up ready for next weekend .
at the track on weekends there is up to 10 of these just about all the guys have them as they are cheap as hell { cost less than my bike 6000 euro brand new } and you can carry 2 bikes and gear .
the standard seats are shit so i put some copy race seats in it , and i put bigger rims and tires so now it sits on 110-120 kph with ease and its raving at all

Are you happy with that Nisson? I'm very interested in one...

My KTM is about 51in tall and from reading online the door is only about 49in. What is your set up? Do you need to compress the forks?

Maybe ramp angle allows it?! It is close, but my 14'yz250f with mx style hand guards rolls right in. Only other bikes that I have had in it were 250sx and xc...no issues rolled right in.

I had 3 Astros, most of the later ones had a 3 piece rear door that made loading harder. I would love to have a 2005 extended with the cargo doors. Gas wise you're better off with a full size diesel, Astro mpg sucks.
I've had 3. Open road, I was getting 20mpg average.

How much room do you have when the bikes are inside? Like bars to roof? Any photos?

The long version of the t4 transporter has room for 3 bikes and the second seatrow as well. With the 2.5 l diesel it's the perfect van imo. Cheap and comfy. At 85 kmh it takes 6, 5l but avoid full gas rides on the Autobahn. I managed to need 13.5 l onceDizzy
VW T4 or a T5 now but the build quality is not up to T4 standards is the only way to roll, had my T4 LWB lowered 80mm on Audi RS4 alloys, Fiamma roll out awning, window in sliding door, custom made 'B' bra bonnet bra, double seat behind the driver so I could seat 5 with 2X 450s on board style for miles, would have another tomorrow but no room for the sidecar!!!!

I had an Astro van for a while back in the day.. Had to compress the forks with a tiedown a good amount to get my bike in the back doors. But I should make it clear that it was a KTM Open classer.

So this was my buddy's Transit... I know there exists another picture with even more stuff in it but I can't find it right now...

I know there exists another picture with even more stuff in it but I can't find it right now. They've managed to stuff 2 full-sized bikes, 2 pitbikes, 2 mountain bikes, multiple gear bags, gas cans and a bunch of other crap in there. They did use the roof rack and a trailer rack though. However if was terribly slow, biblically slow. To fit them in straight did require that they modded up wheel barrow wheels to replace the front wheels.

It is possible to fit 2 fullsized bikes in without any mods though...

For one person and short trips, I thought the Transit was a super cool setup but other than that it was rough. It also didn't last very long, at ~60k(?) miles, it lost a cylinder and required a brand new engine. I'd guess the excess weight really played havoc on that little van. Haha. He's now upgraded to a Promaster which opened a totally new bag of worms...

What's the can off worms ? It's starting to get slim pickings around getting a real rear wheel drive 5 plus litter van ? I have a fleet off fords , and have been buying leftover real vans and some used .

IMO nothing beats the sound, capability and reliability of a 7.3 Powerstroke E350. Straight pipe that bitch and you don't even need a radio anymore...

And how does 20mpg (highway) sound for a 1 ton van that can tow 10,000lbs like it's not there. If you have ever heard a HEUI powerstroke you know what I mean when I say it sounds like a jet turbine spooling up!! Soooo sick, and incredible engineering. 'Merica!!!!

I used to have a Mercedes Vito. Zero problems getting in two bikes and all the equipment. Even the Fiat Scudo fits a full size bike. Ford Transit is the best one in the class in loading capacity since it has a more square box. Can load three bikes in them. VW Transporter is the most comfy to drive.
I've just got shot of my Peugeot Expert (same as Citroen Dispatch and Fiat Scudo, bar a few of Fiat's own touches) and you can fit 2 bikes in quite comfortably.

I have however, just got a Mercedes Vito which drives A LOT better and has the same nimble, small van feel despite being slightly longer.

The Metris, as somebody already mentioned is the same van as the new Vito, which I'd definitely recommend.

Long time lurker her, yet never felt the need of signing up. But maybe i can contribute something new to this topic:

I too run a Peugeot Expert as CB283. Bought it 3 years ago and am very pleased with it. It takes 2 Bikes without a Problem and it runs great with 160 horsepower. It takes 7l/100 km, wich is feewer the an T5. I get to drive a friends Mercedes Vito and found it very wierd to sit in it for a long trip. So the Expert is the best overall package to me.

I added a roof-tent so i can sleep on the top of the car without unloading all stuff, wich really is the icing of the cake. Wherever i go, if i feel tired i have a nice bed in 10 minutes. Will try to upload a picture from my phone later.

Kanista, I see yours is the newer shape. Unfortunately, I've never had the pleasure of driving one as mine was the older, more boxy style so maybe I should have noted that in my post! Lovely looking van too dude Smile

I have a volkswagen caddy maxi which is 2.2m in the back... I usually put my 2 mtbs in there and can sleep next to them with a whole bunch of luggage.

Gets 40-50mpg. ....

Not bad. I lifted mine a little and put some bigger tires on it. So there are no issues on the way to the paddock anymore.Wink

Most moto heads in New Zealand drive 3 litre Diesel Toyota Hiace vans.

They put out about 135 Horsepower, you can easily fit 2 bikes in the back, 3 at a push.

Most young guys will lower them a bit and put some rims on there.

They go good on our roads..

Here is an example from vital user Ashleymx:

Not my first choice of moto transport but my Toyota Sienna company van is loaded this morning for Sideways Saturdays in the heart of Humboldt..I freeking love this soccer mom van and now that I see how simple it is to keep one of my girls locked up tight we are getting out some more.
Just drop the front wheel, put the axle back in for a handle, grab and place on a plastic mat in the van. With lowered handlebars you can grab the rear end and roll the rear tire and bike right into position. The seat brackets make perfect tie downs. It rained last night, I just hope it's not a mudder Lol!

So assuming we somehow got one of these in the US is there any way to register it? I REALLY want one of these!
