My dad has donated 20 acres for me to follow my childhood dream please check this out and donate. Everyone who donates will have special rates when they come visit the facility. We arnt asking much ... a dollar or 5 or 10 whatever u can afford... itnwill all help and go to a cause bigger then you can imagine. Www.gofundme.com/mxsupport

Provide a well thought out business plan for people to read and believe in first.

Why did you post this in the QNA thread after you started this thread. Looks legit with real name and # but also comes off a little spammish. Good luck with this one...seems like it was thought up quick and most people are going to be skeptical about ever receiving anything for their "donation." Actually it really is more like start-up capital you are looking for...talk to an investment banker.
The link in this thread doesn't work, I went thru the other thread you posted it in.

1 - Starting a business with someone else's money is step one to having a business that has a 99.9% chance at failing. . . It's so much easier to gamble when it's not your money.

2 - Camp332 is absolutely right. . . if you're going to beg for money, maybe put something together more than a site to donate to. This is the equivalent of standing on the street corner begging for money. . . only lazier.

3 - Use spell check before you post your business plan. . . It's "equipped" not "equipt".

4 - You might want to give the 20 acres back to your dad. . . you'll just end up losing it.

I live in the northeast. I'll come test it out and do a writeup for the vital community, free of charge.

Looking at the gofundme page, it seems like dreams rather than ideas at this point. You haven't laid out any groundwork for how and when things will happen. You didn't outline where specifically the track is. A facility would be great, but this idea is already on a path to failure.

Let me paint a picture for you...

You ask for donations in any amount and talk about membership options. So if I donate $1,000, I get a membership (for one year). You haven't told me where it is? Am I donating to have a membership to a facility six hours from home? The northeast is a big area. You mentioned arenacross and supercross...I'm a vet rider. My days of jumping everything are long gone. Is there an outdoor style track for guys like me? What's the timeline to develop? Do you have a business plan? Is the local community on board? What are you bringing to the table besides the twenty acres (which you keep if this succeeds or fails anyway)? Where is your risk?

It reads like you want donations and then to hope it comes together. In the meantime everyone who donates can risk getting screwed out of money as you line your pockets. I applaud the idea...but the execution is condemned to failure in it's current state.

We should resist giving serious feedback. It will only legitimize his request. Let's let this one die. Either that, or que the bears.

This needs site plans and zoning permissions etc before anyone should be donating any money.

On a site note, I own 15 acres, and ride motorcycles. If you give me some cash I will gladly take it, and make some dirt jumps.

Well, it looks like he got the parking lot built.....

This will never happen. There's a reason why there's only a select few tracks still open in the Northeast.

I just saw where the OP is from, Mcdonald Pa. it's 15 minutes away from me...

There used to be a track there called Rocky Ridge Mx in imperial... Lots of hills...

There's already a place with 3 tracks, one indoors in this area... http://www.switchbackmx.com/

Yep...been to switchback. Only ridden the indoor track. Might do the outdoor track this season or hit up the GP when they have it
