I bought one when it first came out but have only used it a couple of times since I haven't had as much time as I'd like to ride lately. It seems promising. Michael at Litpro has been very helpful as well.

Question for you guys who have used the LitPro. If you have someone with you at the track with an iPad and the LitPro app are they able to give you your lap times on the fly?

The more I use it the better it is, my son and I both have one, have set up tracks we ride on. Love how I can look at every lap when I get home, sync it at the track.
customer service is great, have chatted to Michael on the phone as well, always very helpful.

No, you have to sync it with the app after your ride. It doesn't act like a transponder giving lap times in real time.

Been using it for a while and it's pretty interesting and you can learn a lot of things, but for us the gate drop feature has been most useful. Just today found out that according data I got, I should use first gear in starts on my CRF250R. A guy who should know recommended starting on first gear on that bike, but I still could not believe it and now I do. Also during race my heart rate is always over 180 during the race (according my age max should be 183, but it was maxing around 195).

What are the grey squares n the track?

I've emailed them a couple of times with no response? Does the device have to be mounted to the top of the helmet or can it be mounted elsewhere? on the back of the number plate for instance? Assuming it's a GPS device

It has acceleration sensors and they get messed up if you mount it to bike. Your body is used as a suspension for the LITPro so mounting it to helmet is the best way. Also the GPS has best connection to satellites from the top. It weights only 75 grams.

The instructions say for best results it should be mounted on top of your helmet as that is the best place to have the most consistent access to the sky that the GPS needs. They also say something about a GoPro or similar camera on top of the helmet next to it can interfere with the sensors and so it isn't recommended to run both (you could probably run the GoPro on your chest without affecting it though).

Can you map your own tracks similar to strava or are only certain tracks by lit pro on the database ?

You can map you own tracks, This track , was an old school grass MX track never used before.. Set Litpro going, set up start/finish and couple of segments (did this when I got home last night), name the track, then it goes to data base.

so every week my local track has some minor changes based on how they groom. Do you need to create a new track map every week to compensate for changes such as distance?

What acceleration sensors are in this? Isn't it all based on GPS to determine speed etc?

Been really interested getting one of these, looks like you can really learn a lot from all the different data. Does anyone know of a compatible heart rate monitor?

And it connects through bluetooth to the LitPro or is it a separate deal?

We've been using it with Michael this year with the help of Chris Hay who has been helping LitPro. It's hands down the best training aid IMHO.

Does anyone know how often the LITPro logs GPS (and heart rate) data? The Garmin devices are configured to record data every second but I thought I saw something similar to the LITPro out there (for karts) that was recording data much more often (1/50th second). Their site mentions 1/20th second but isn't clear if that's correct.

These look pretty cool.
