Last year Dungey sacrificed the most important event of his life, his wedding, by delaying it to race MXDN.
What more do you guys want him to sacrifice for mx, his first born child?
that's what a real American hero would do ....

Dungey is such a let down. Unless it comes out that he needs some kind of surgery as soon as the season ends he's being a real disappointment. Being chosen to ride for your country is a huge honor and a privilege. If he was born in China or Thailand or Zimbabwe or almost anywhere else on this planet he wouldn't have been given the opportunity to live the life he's living. He should pay back to America and the American fans who support him by helping his country win. If he needs a rest he's got months of useless crap he can skip before supercross starts. MXDN should be a priority.
This may well be the most stupid and ignorant post of the year. Did you think before you posted this or were you too drunk to care? Dungey is such a let down.....only a real douche would put that out for everyone to read. Ridiculous. Maybe you should do some homework before you spout shit like this.

Enlighten me then. USA's best rider is healthy and at the top of his game but isn't going because he "needs a break".

Are you going to tell me this move is badass? Legendary? A high point in American MXDN. History? Talked about forever like Hannah at Unadilla? Like O'mara in Italy? Like Villo at Budds Creek?

I hope not.

Its a letdown.

Yes, because Webb, Martin and Barcia are going because they owe people....in fact, everyone who ever went to MXDN did it because they "owed" people.

People are talking about webb like he's a poor choice. The kid is a fighter and a killer. And guess what, the guy choosing the teams knows a whole lot more than anyone else on the forum. Even if we do lose, we will know that everyone on our team gave it their all.. Who knows, Roger could have not chosen trey for a number of reasons. All we can and will do is speculate.

Here is some enlightenment for you-you can't argue with stupid. He has gone 6 years in a row, contributed to 3 wins and would have won 4 if not for Tomac crashing, but gets blamed for every loss from guys like you. Are you going to go back in the history books and shit on every guy that didn't go that you think should have gone? He has raced almost year round and every race since he entered the 450 class, and if he doesn't think he can be at his best or be fully committed, then he shouldn't go. At least he is being honest about it, and someone else should go that is fully committed. As for as your view of the historic rides you speak of, how about when he was almost a full lap down at Southwick and came back to 7th, or shifting in the air at MEC with his hand? Not historic enough for you? He is ahead of everyone you mentioned in terms of career wins and MXON success, save Villopoto. And it won't be long before he moves in front of him. But because he didn't have some kind of "historic" ride at the MXON, he is a let down? Winning 3 of 6 and finishing on the podium all six years not historic enough for you? Are you let down by his commitment for team USA?

He has done more than his share of heavy lifting for team USA, and it is because of guys like you that he might just say fuck it, not that he would ever come out and and say it, because he has too much class. Let down my ass-two words.

I just experienced a personal let down for letting myself argue with stupid. If you can't appreciate what he has done for team USA and if you can't appreciate why he might need to step away for a bit (which clearly you can't) then no one on this board can help you.

Sounds like it will be Dungey's fault again this year if team USA doesn't win.

You sure???

Crashes and mechanicals happen.

Not to mention, Martin is more than capable of beating Marvin and who knows what Webb can do.

You don't have to win every moto to win the OA.

I like this team choice. Those boys all have some fire and something to prove. They are all capable of greatness on a given day. Those are the guys you want in the fight. Barcia has beat Dungey this year. Webb and Martin are animals too - Jeremy probably wants to redeem himself after last year and Webb... well "racers race" and he will give no quarter even if he is on a 450. And it will be fun for an international audience to hear him using bad words in the interviews haha.

Dunge deserves a break. He's had the longest run of probably anyone other than Ward. And let's not forget, the off season back in the day wasn't quite what it is in 2015. To make matters worse has had to deal with keyboard jockeys blaming him every year the team didn't win. Give somebody else a shot and let him recharge!

I like this team. Win or lose, I guarantee these boys will bring some fireworks!!

Well I still have USA down as equal favourites with France, who I don't see as strong as some do,Paulin is off and Musquin might not be as fast as he is in the US

Herlings,Tonkov and the MX1 big guns of Cairoli,Desalle and maybe Nagl could all be out and it would free up some of the spots upfront, consistency is the key

So who is building Cooper a bike? Star racing is a 250 only team isn't it?
In any case, it is an all Yamaha team. Maybe the logistics helped Roger make that decision.

And as I said in another thread, I like this team. Hungry, and they won't bow down to anyone. A great underdog (as many seem to think) team and this will work in their favour. Can they win? Absofuckinglutely.

Good team, Webb deserves to go.for sure....more so than Trey. I don't blame Dungey for taking the time off, no way does it make him look bad. He's been many times and I'm sure he will be going again In the future, the dude is entitled to a bit of an off season.
Hopefully Barcia keeps an even head and puts in some solid consistent rides. Webb is a racer and will do.well.

I think it would be a good idea for the 3 picked for team USA to skip the USGP. Go over to France a couple of weeks early and get used to the time change and the environment and everything. A lot of the European riders will be away for 2 weeks in Mexico and California, then be rushing back for the MXdN just one week later. So it could be chance for Team USA to gain an advantage in that respect

Does anybody know if Dungey will line up at the MXGP at Glen Helen?
Because that's one month after Utah and one week prior to the mxdn.
So "a break" would only make sense if he cancels both races - unfortunately... I was really looking forward to see him battle Romain Febvre

It's typical that now Dungey has finally got his aggressive head on, he's not doing the Des Nats lol

are they meant to do the mxgp? I missed that
Would be cool for us fans but you version would benefit the team more ofcourse.

They aren't listed to ride, but there was a thought from a few that the three chosen would ride the GP. I think coming over slightly earlier than they normally would, would be beneficial to them

Pretty sure it's still just the KTM/Husky riders that are racing the USGP.

I agree with Hillbilly, it's supposed to be a friendly celebration of the sport... None of these guys race strictly for
fun... Sure everyone wants to win... How much are these guys even getting paid? That pride shit only goes so far
when you can spend the rest of your life in a wheelchair...

People want to win the Olympic Gold for pride and fame... That drunk swimmer is a rich man because of the
Olympics... He has no where else to go... No Pro National Swimming Team...

Look at our Ryder Cup, some of the golfers have said they should be getting paid more for all the money the event
generates...
