Said he wasnt going.

Unless something changes, I think that is true. Especially if Roger D is not going.

If Roger isn't going then is he still picking the team? Also who will lead the team in France? Steve Lamson?

In regards to a new team manager, what about someone like Rick Johnson

Is the track hilly this year? Long start?

Could Webb race a 250F in the "OPEN" class? I'd be more comfortable with him on a 250 in the open class than a 450 (providing the track doesn't absolutely require gobbs of power). Same with Martin.

Thought about that myself but fun racing 39 450s in the open/mx1 race.

It's kinda tight but very hilly so I don't think a 250 would be an advantage

Could you do some of those super cool cryptic instagram posts to keep our interest at peak level until then?

Very interesting comment.

I searched a bit, so my analysis is a top 3 finish would be really hard on a 250, based on the race times of the French GP in 2013. There is about 20-30 seconds between MX1 and MX2. However everything is possible, like RV in Budds Creek or Roczen.

http://results.mxgp.com/mxgp/standings.aspx

Then I insist on the "everything is possible" because the starts looks awesome for a MXdN race. At 19 minutes, if you watch the video, you can see the number 151 starting pretty much like a 250 vs. a 450 and he still come around the top 5-8. That means the top MX2 rider could actually run higher than what we often see.

Also a suggestion but can Webb race with a big bore ? (i.e. 276cc)

Why even comment.....

I'd be tempted to pick Trey. Has previous MXDN experience, though not a deal breaker, is certainly a plus. Just inside the top 10 now but one has to think him likely to improve over the next two races, and then he has a few more welcome weeks of prep after that; whereas every other team pick is tired and will be wanting to wind down (but can't).
