I have the dream that my bike is really slow. Like, so slow you can barely keep it balanced on two wheels. People are ripping past me like I'm going backward, which I almost am. Can't clear even the smallest doubles that my grandma could do on a tricycle. It's a bad dream, for sure.

I had a dream that I took a spare carburetor of the shelf and bolted it on my dogs snout. In the dream it made complete sence.

...i also have a TON of them were im in the pits getting ready for the moto, get to the gate, and then WAKE UP just before the gate drops.....really pisses me off!
mine is similar, except I am sitting in the pits, casually getting ready, totally in control, oozing confidence, then I hear the announcer announce that my moto had just left the line ...

If it's not the dream where I am scrambling to find my kneebraces and gas can at mammoth ( same exact dream every time), I have the "falling" dream.

Usually I'm at Lorettas, and I will hit a jump that all the sudden sends me up a good 200 feet up. Once I begin to descend I start screaming bloody murder and the second before impact I wake up....the dream happens 4 or 5 times a month and it scared the shit out of me every single time
THIS. I HAVE THIS DREAM.

THIS EXACT ONE. Are you scared of heights, but it somehow doesn't phase you on the bike?

I need answers.

This dream didn't end well, because it became reality...

I had a recurring dream that I crashed at some unknown track, broke my leg, and was carted off on a mule and placed in an ambulance. As the ambulance pulled away, the dream would end but I wouldn't wake up.

I never remembered having this recurring dream until June 19th this year. On that day at Millville during LL regional qualifying practice in the 45+ class, I hit a kicker and had to eject off of the "Chadapult" jump. Broke my femur, chipped my acetabulum, and broke a finger, and from the second I was laying on the ground, to getting loaded onto the mule, to the point I was in the ambulance at the track, I experienced everything just as it was in the dream.

I hardly ever dream about riding or anything related to dirtbikes. The only dream I can remember about MX, was racing the scramblecross series here, and when I dropped down into a section along the creek (actual part of the track), I landed and got headshake, then shot off the side of the track and the little cliff into the creek, but before I hit the ground, I suddenly woke up. The best part about this, is it was the night before I was going to race, at scramblecross! Unsure
And yes, I was a lot more hesitant in that section that day! Lol

Did you just solve the whole time is not linear debate?

Freaky.

Same goes for skateboarding.
Ha, similar to me but I just ride past my pit because I can't figure out how to stop and put my feet down lol.

When I'm riding passenger in a car I invariably daydream about riding in the ditch trying to keep pace.

Honestly I am not afraid of heights at all...

If I had to pin point it I think it has a lot to do with me breaking my legs from coming up short on a jump that the lip threw me way to high and not far enough.
I have a lot of pain on a daily bases from that crash and it's rarely not on my mind.

That's where I think it comes from for me, but we all have a story that some what correlates to a big crash with this sport were in.

I have the similar dream where I am trying to ride fast but the bike won't rev. It's stuck just above idle.
Or it's race time and I am trying to get ready and get my stuff on, but my feet are like lead and I can barely move, or I am looking for my bike and can't find it.

Just last night I had a dream where I was watching a bmx demo. The guys were doing all this cool stuff- when I woke up I was wondering how my brain had conceived of all these freestyle moves in such detail. I'm not even into it that much!

That is classic Mike!

Dude, are you EVER in a chair in your dreams? Shit man even after 30 years i can only remember having ONE dream i was in one, and i was rolling across the steep mountain and about to tip over and fall down the mountain when i put my leg out and caught myself.

My skateboard dreams are awesome, but every time i stop, i have to sit on the board itself and my feet cant touch the ground.

Thats spooky, and yet not uncommon... i have had premonitions of crashes , and started to avoid them before the guy even knew he was going to crash...split second thing, but you are not alone.

My usual one is always about not being able to find my kit , and missing my race... bloody annoying, especially when you have it over a race weekend.

Many times the dream is almost the same, Late to the line, at the line with no helmet, or cant find boot, fuel tank nearly empty, left all my gear at home, then I wake up.

Thanks for clarifying. I have never had someone else so accurately describe the dream. Mine HAS to stem from my fear of heights I'd imagine. I hate even getting on a ladder, but when in riding it doesn't really bother me. Freestyle gets to me the first jump of the day or too, but after that it's the same deal.
