Don't worry, strenght and stamina are not only based on the volume.
To look good for the chicks, then it is another diet, protein shaker/meat/eggs/potatoes/etc
Riders tend to be super fit like in bicycle because weight has become a factor, especially for good starts.
Be cool if he turned up there
Muscles take oxygen, and oxygen takes stamina.
I'm 26 and have been racing for 22 years. My legs match GP's profile very much like. All my stick and ball friends growing up would laugh and crack jokes about my chicken legs. That was until we got into the gym of course. Despite my lower legs being absurdly lacking in definition and calf muscles my thighs, butt, lower back, and core were light years above anyone else I know. It's just funny because you look at my lower legs and I look like a cripple, but above the knee my legs are huge. They're not as hard nor defined as when I was racing, but there still big a flabby, but when I do work them out they harden up quick!
At one point when I was a young buck in HS I had the best power to weight ratio in my HS. I think I weighed something like 128 lbs and could bench just shy of 250 lbs although I was never good at benching and never saw the point in it. I always liked doing the dead lift which I could do 375 lbs, and squatting which was 350 lbs. I honestly dont remember what my leg press was, but it was a lot. A lot more than I could ever imagine myself doing now at 26, and seriously out of shape working in an office all day.
My HS was or is known for it's world class power lifting program and team. About 90% of the state records in WA State are held by students, past students, or faculty of my HS. We have a large Samoan population at my old HS though, and those Samoans are something else strength wise. They're destroying all the records of previous years. The Gym coach, teacher, and trainer was an ex Olympic track and field runner. He did the relay, and I believe 100 meter dash in the games back in the 70's. He himself is regarded as one of the strongest people in the nation for his age. He holds nearly every single power lifting record in the USA for his age, size, weight, and classification. Heck the guy at 70 something years old still ran a hand timed 4.6 40 yard dash. He was faster than half our track team, and was certainly stronger than all of them.
Hope he does ride 'Dilla.... Johnny Fever too!
Pit Row
lots of bodybuilders have longer bicep muscles and dont have that peaky look. thats another negative of being a tall person trying to have a physique like that, way harder to achieve.
and i can guarantee you that paulin isnt calf raises with insane weight to break out of that look. not saying he would ever want to anyway, he is an endurance athlete for the most part.
I'm pretty sure the NBA is the only professional sports league that only Drug Tests once per season at the start of Training Camp... I just saw on ESPN a night or two ago the starting SF for the ATL Hawks just got busted for having like 5 oz of Marijuana and another 5 oz of pure MDMA on him in a routine traffic stop. NFL is full of women beaters, the NBA is higher than the counter guy at a WA State Cannabis Collective, MLB is raging a war on steroids, NHL is full of beer. Yes just beer, and NASCAR is full on tweaked. You have to be to watch that s***.
I'm not one to laugh at other peoples troubles especially injuries, but I had too... Enough s*** stirring for one day. That is all! Goodnight
I used to watch you at SIR (before it was Pacific Raceways) when you were on a Yamaha with the pink stewart Fox gear. I thought it was the most baddass thing ever! I was on the peewee track wanting to ride with the big boys!
Good memories right there bud right around 2002?? That was right before my 3rd and longest full time retirement from racing. I quit in 02 and didn't race again till I graduated school in 2008.
What's your name man? Do we know each other?
Ryan Huddleston, I dont think we ever met.
You know Josh Everson?
I don't believe we have met, but Josh is one of my closest friends. If I went to jail, and had to call one person to come get me. I would call Josh, but if I was in jail he would probably be there right with me! Haha. Did you live near us before you moved??? You still ride and race?? Add me on the FB sometime. How do you know Josh???
That's cool man! I didn't realize how many kids used to admired my mini bike riding abilities back then out there until I got older, and become a little less competitive and a little more relaxed....I expected to win every race out there by a half lap, and when that didn't happen I hated it. It's also one reason why I rode there so much because I knew that I couldn't nor shouldn't be beaten at that track. It was essentially my biggest downfall because instead of chasing kids like JH75 down in the South and using their speed to improve mine. Everyone else used my speed against me to improve their own game. I was essentially sand bagging my area code. That's why I respect RV so much. The kid got beat at every level, and had the confidence and mental ability to stay in there and not only escape it in one piece, but to escape it early and as one of the best professional racers of all time.... His AM career sure wasn't that easy, but Ryan never ducked anybody. He took every ones best shot and would come back next week stronger.
I'm helping my Dad remodel his house right now, and am coincidentally in my trophy room over here. Despite throwing out all the trophies that either werent first place for state titles, regional titles, or ama district 27 championships., am titles, or am championships this room is so packed you can't even walk around in it. I found a photo book this morning with a scrapbook of all my years racing out at SIR. I have some good photo's of that Stewart gear and it actually still fits. hahaha. I'll scan some tonight and I'll upload them. But here's a couple photo's from Woodland that same year. Am I the guy I thought I was or you were thinking I was??? haha.....
