Why would Monster bail on Kawi? That doesn't make any sense to me. Factory Kawasaki has the best talent that isn't named Ryan Dungey in the US coming (going off the strong rumor mill) and they've had a successful relationship with Pro Circuit since the beginning. If that is true, it just reeks of some sort of an ego problem. This is the first year that a Monster Kawasaki hasn't won a US championship since... when? 2008 I think. So RV retires, they go a year without a #1 plate and they're now ready to jump off a bridge?

I will end this debate right now...

This doesn't end the debate, it's part of the reason the debate started when it was running around Glen Helen before the season started.

What new 250? You mean the revised 2010 model?

They put alot of effort into that new 250, and it was already a strong machine. IMO, and correct me if im wrong ML512, suzuki just hasnt had the money to support a full factory effort in the 250 class.

I would think with a new machine, supporting a few 250 riders, it would make sense for a full effort to be in the works.

I don't think it can be considered a "new" 250. If that was the case, then it was "new" last yr as well.

Did they win the lotto between then and now? What's changed?

And. AFAIK, Team Yoshi don't have a "currant 250 team" in the paddock. Thought a currant 250 team were making the switch.

Would be nice to see Bell under RJ's tutorage though.

It has double digit part number differences, thats a huge difference compared to the previous years.

Are you saying that because Dirt Candy is doing their graphics means that they are going to field a 250 team? Or do you have more info and you're holding out on us?

Edit: Forgot they even ran a team lol. Kudos for them if they are team moving forward, thats great news for them.

out of left field, but If its true I think good things can happen. Have they fielded a 250 program before? Two year's ago Ronnie Stewart went on a tear (for a low budget privateer) and made I think the last 6-7 mains in SX and Metty had some good rides for the team this past season.

Could be that the way the whole RV thing went down soured the relationship. It also sounds like Kawi spent a load on getting RV to race the GP's, MX or SX for one more season. Just speculating.

The issue with that is at LL it was said that a team would be switching brands to become the factory 250 effort. Dirt Candy is already on Suzuki's.

Maybe. I've personally witnessed million dollar deals destroyed because of stupid, petty things in business so that wouldn't be too surprising. It would still be very sad though.

Just thinkin from a business perspective, Kawasaki and monster are perfect business partners. Both have a green colored brand recognition and as has been stated before, Kawi has won most of the championships in the past years. They've scooped up the best rider available in tomac so it's not like they're trying taking second tier riders. I agree that it would be disappointing for them to split over semantics out of either of their control. But, if that is what caused them to split, it is what it is.

Monster sponsors the Yamaha road race team in the US and Yamaha teams all around the world. I think there will be a few changes at the PC team for next year.

The only thing that mattered to me in this entire thread was when ML said he wouldn't get to ride the 16' 250F until Sept! I yelled " shit !!! " because this is the one and only bike I'm waiting on some reviews for. The Suzuki's " feel " great , but let's be honest , the damn motor is a dog and lacks a good 3 - 4hp right from the get go. Besides the motor , the forks , yeah they are supposed to suck too.

I'm glad that Suzuki want to get back into competing in the Pro classes with their new 250F , but honestly I couldn't give a rats ass. I want to know what the bike is like for myself and what improvements they have made over the 15' model.

Give me some power and good forks and I'll buy that bitch!

My son and I ride Rm 250 and RM125. He needs a 250f next year. He hasrode the Yamaha and loves it but like the RM handling better. Come on Suzuki, get your bikes out there.

Where'd you get this info? I'm a Suzuki guy, but they are the smallest of the big 4. I'm willing to speculate that they sell the least bikes as well as have the least money.
