Herlings down hard in quali race

7/25/2015 8:44am
Holy crap .. What an horrible year it has been for Herlings... This all started to snowball since he snapped his leg on the 85cc a year ago to be honest.

I think it'll be the best to take of the year to heal completely.. This sucks big time but he allready was riding around with a destroyed finger and colarbone.

Sigh so manny injures in the GP's this year Sad

Gajser - Guillod - Jonass - Seewer - Tixier

are all possible title candidates now. Gajser can take the lead of the season if he scores 46+ points this GP

This year...

Can't we just skip 2015 and move on to 2016?

Kid's going to have to hang up the boots before he moves up.

Crazy

What was his last injury/injuries? His hand looked pretty bad was that his last one? Similar sounding crash.

I thought it was like that. Hopefully his hip ain't wrecked too bad and he gets healed up good.

KTM should have protected him , let him sit out this one and return at Lommel .... just my opinion. Cairoli already out for the championships , he could have sit this one out with that lead he had ... now they lost both championship s i think

A year of no championships for Red Bull KTM in the GPs, let that sink in.

I used to hate this kid but these last 2 years for him I've come to like him a lot. He's tough thats for sure. I hope he comes back stronger than ever and kills the big bike class next year.

Is there any word the crash was caused by the finger injury?

At least they'll have a Supercross championship and likely a repeat in the US National big boy's class to lessen the sting.

no , but that hand , his colarbone and rib ... you just cant go on and on and collecting injuries and keep on going ... these guys have to be fit to be up there , if youre not fit youre far more likely to make mistakes ... Herlings would never say it was because of an excisting injury that he crashed Wink i just dont think it was the right decision , he has been hit too much so far this season ....

yeah , JH84 wants to race ... get it , he wants that championship , but sometimes you have to protect youre rider is my opinion ... he has like 46 points lead , so good chance he was still in the lead if he would have stayed home ... return in Lommel , after Lommel is another 3 weeks to recover ....

It was stupid to race Loket, why not just wait for Lommel and take 50 points there. Well that is too late now.

I'm honestly in disbelief over how much he has been crashing and injuring himself. Third injury just this season and he walked away from a couple big crashes as well!! Something needs to change.

Seems like the mxgp Europe team is in tatters without everts running the show. U know he had to be the voice of experience and reason in the past. True, the first femur break was under his watch and at his race, but tixier was waiting in the wings just in case. Letting everts go was a huge mistake, bar none. Seemed like KTM never really took off and started dominating until he showed up. Ironic that tixier is the guy who ran herlings over, although clearly an unavoidable accident.

Poor management decision last year to let him race an 85 during a championship run. That kind of a confidence killer, as well as these latest injuries, are difficult to remount from. Wish him the best!

Even if his leg Isn't broken (which it looks like something Is), he needs to give It a rest already. With the luck he's having this year, the only thing left would be a broken back or neck. I've never seen someone crash so much only 3 quarters way through a season. I'm wondering If this will do something negative to his psyche In the future. Get well, and come back stronger, and stop crashing for christ sake.
