Does anyone know when they close the gates on friday night? Last year I went over friday night and didn't show up till about 11pm. They made us wait till 12am before they let anyone in.

I'm going to have to end up working a little bit on Friday so was hoping to be there early in the afternoon but don't want to go all that way if I still can't get in till midnight.

I'm at amateur day and they are claiming 24-7 gates. I'll ask around today to confirm... But you know how it is, everyone has a differnet answer these days.

what pisses me off is the whole camping arrangement. so if I show up Friday night to stay in my buddies trailer they nail me for $50 to basically sleep overnight in his trailer. WTF

First time heading out there as well. Will be staying right near the Portland airport and heading to the track as early as possible with my camera in hand. Cant wait! Hope I can find some good places to get shots without being overcrowded and blocked.

The Salmon Falls route will save you bigtime in and out.

If you're a "sit and let it come to me guy", get there early and set up chairs high on horsepower hill. Personally I like walking the whole facilty and visiting the many beer gardens scattered around the track. Points of interest... as mentioned before, the many beer gardens, standing at the fence at the whoop section, standing at the fence in corner 2 at the start of any moto, at the top of horsepower hill when they float just inches above the track for 30 yards... did I mention the cool ass beer gardens?

And another thing... Last year there was a pretty long line for admission, but they had a seperate line for peeps that bought their tickets online. The online purchasers prolly saved 15-20 mins at the gate.

Just sayin...
