My favorite dyno run was the 1985 RM250 in Dirt Rider. The "redline report" said: "WE DONT GIVE A BLANKETY BLANK HOW MUCH POWER THIS BIKE HAS. IT HAS BLOWN UP TWICE AND WE ARE FINISHED WITH THIS BIKE" lol. Im paraphrasing but its a very close quote.

Notice that by 2000, a 250cc bike was putting out more torque than the 500cc ktm and husky in 85 Smile

1986 KX vs. CR 250 ( Rick Johnson and Ron Lechien actually rode the bikes for this Dirt Rider shootout! Thatll never happen these days.)

I have a bunch of old Dirt Bike, Dirt Rider, and Super Motocross from about 81-91. I will dig thru and get pics/scans of dyno charts when I have time. Taking pics with my phone is a lot less tedious than scanning but I want to make sure they are legible.

Wishful thinking, but how cool would it be to build a graph that showed the average hp by size and year from mid-70s on up? Crazy how much more HP they managed to find!
