.....I am going to be super bummed. Sure there were and are better riders at managing a championship series, but I love the dudes (and ladies Heidi Cooke and Jocelyn Facciotti).

This should bring out some haters, but nobody knows my address, lol.

Definitely some of the most exciting riders in history on that list. RV and Guy Cooper could make the list also. Smile

For a list of guys fun to watch, Cooper definitely deserves a spot.

It's still odd to me in a cosmic retrospective way that RV retired before Reed and Stewart. Funny how things play out sometimes.

I remember watching RV win his last 250 MX title while Stewart was going 24-0 in the big boy's class like it was yesterday.

I remember my first SX, Tampa 1989. Was feet behind O'Mara and Lechian by their respective box vans.
It was surreal.
Keid beat Bradshaw after he fell leading, lol. Ward beat O' Show, who was riding the sickest sounding Suzook, riding it Barcia-like.

I now think big jumps are the lamest part of SX, it's a rest to those guys.
Anyway, Cooper was jumping "anti-Bubba", plumb as a Bob, so was going insane high. It was jaw-dropping how high and far he was jumping.

One of the best days of my life.

It will be a sad day. What a talent. He has influenced the sport like few others.

Maybe he and a few other retired racers made his track/home a MTF type facility and rocked it for a while.

I wouldn't be surprised if bubba was still racing when he was 35+.

Let's hope so! Tomac too, that kid will be a record setter, IF he stays healthy

Magoo! God that guy was fun to watch! Pure animal on the bike. Have fond memories of watching him as a kid on TV and at Washougal.

Not so much reed, but stew should have retired in his prime. Mind you his prime is sorta a grey area
