I personally don't care for championship wins it's nice for the rider pays the bills, in my eyes the true champions are the ones who are crazy fast but they often go down.

I much rather watch JS/RV/ROCZEN/TOMAC ride than watch dungey go ride to the championship when those dudes are not present.

However dungeys method works there's no denying that.

If you watch motocross, and all you can take away from it is "James Stewart crashes the most", not only are you incorrect, you should probably buy a cat. Or golf clubs.

how can you be 'the dominant rider of that decade' if you only compete in half of it? (retiring in 2015)

6/9/2015 7:45am
When the decade is over let's count up the championships and we will have a winner.

A few years there Bubba held onto the wins every race he didn't crash stat. That was dominating (poor Chad).

its easily going to be Dungey the dominant rider of the decade as long as he stays healthy, which history shows, he probably will. With his main competition dealing with serious injury now, who knows how many more wins and championship he will rack up in the coming years. Roczen is going to give RD some fits though. However I could see Rocze going back to GP's in a year or 2 if things don't work out for him in the next couple years.. Dungey will neverbother to race GPs

I say Dungey gets atleast 5 more championships in the next 5 years. STAMP IT.

If RV would have stayed racing in America, it would have been him the most dominant. But he chose to quit. He should have just switched teams / bikes and stayed in America. If he was getting bored of winning so much, he should have tried a weaker team and bike, like Dungey has had to deal with since 2010. RV to JGR would have been perfect. That would have given him a real challenge and made moto more fun again. RV always had the best bike and team in Kawi.

And just exactly how have you determined that's all I can take away from it ?

I never mentioned Stewart at all and mehow2g only mentioned him in a list which included plenty other riders also , so why do you think that ?

For what its worth , I do kinda agree with him that the likes of Stewart , Tomac , Roczen are the more exiting riders to WATCH .

But to suggest its a sign of a true champion , ( that's not any old champion you know , but a true one ) , is somebody who " goes down often " is just fucking ridiculous .

Smile The yanks are not going to like that much, but it is arguable that Everts and Cairoli are the best riders of their era. It seems that any comparisons are not fairly balanced though since we can only base our opinions on the respective series that each rider raced.

Don't tell me, RV would win every moto by 20-30 secs right? Stamp it? I just wonder how well any of the Yanks would get on in someone elses national series, such as the Dutch national series, the question we would all be asking is would Herlings be able to lap all the Yanks in EVERY race.

Anyone who thinks there should be an astric next to anyone's name for winning a championship is a complete and utter idiot that has no idea on what it takes to win a championship. Also I'll add, if you think Dungy is a boring rider to watch, you have very little knowledge in riding technique.

That's not what I said, I like the fastest guys I watch it for them they don't crash every race but when they do it takes them out.

When following sports like Soccer, NFL, Rugby, NBA etc who do you rate better a person with more titles? or the best skillful player who had a injury prone career?

Personally, I'm glad that the RV extremists identify themselves with their avatar picture. . . Makes it easier to distinguish them from the racing fans. It's like the picture puts an asterisk next to their post.

And to elaborate on Uptite's point, if RD is boring for you to watch, there are 35+ other guys on the track that are even more boring to watch. . . You must be bored to death watching this boring racing. . .

No you didn't fix anything for me, JS is the fastest to this date perhaps Eli may end up better, but without JS the sport wide would not be this fast, RC(my second favorite rider) got pushed to go faster because of James.

James suffered something mentally during his time at JGR his confidence was shot and people will only remember him as a crasher because they feel good about it.

But forget 01-08 where he changed the sport, this is the same dude who was on a 125 let Chad reed pass him who was riding a 250f only to re pass and gap him.

Knowing Chad, James Probably did that because Chad talked shit.

I'm not sure if James invented the scrub but if he didn't he took it to the next level which today is used by every pro.

To your avatar point, I ran that to support RV in the GP's... I may need to take it down soon but no need be a dick about it

And sorry, but somehow RD makes blazing fast look boring. Can't explain it, but that's just how it looks to me

So if I understand this correctly, Kawasaki + Aldon = F'n done, over, out, stamp it. Correct?
