I believe he had more than one fall in SX this year, afterall, you said "in a race all year".
Other than a stalling bike, I'm not sure he has fallen in MX until Muddy Creek.

There's not a rider in the world that wouldn't give their left nut to have the crash record of Ryan Dungey, especially at the level he's riding at every week. The guy is a machine.

No one knows how fast Dungey would be were he to hang it all out and throw caution to the wind, because that's just not his way. I think he's the fastest guy out there, and I base that on the empirical evidence that the only way to consistently beat him is to give up on prioritizing consistency. Time and again, his competitors have watched him win.......from the sidelines.

Heck, even his Euro mini-me Cairoli crashes more than Ryan...and he's won eight World Championships.

Post fail.

Dungey never crashed once in qualifying or main event time in SX. Can't speak for practice, but still.

That alone is huge!

Damn....................I hate Post Fail......... that sucks.
Even though I'm a Dungey fan, I sure do hope this post doesn't jinx him. I've seen it happen before.

Yes his stats are crazy. And 40th win, 3rd behind RC and JS7. If he keeps up like this 3 or 4 seasons he may get closer to the goat. The only factors I see are:
1. how will Tomac do next years ?
2. "" "" Roczen "" "" "" ?
3. "" "" Stewart "" "" "" ?

I'd guess that he's fallen more than once, but when he crashes they're generally small tipovers, and not big cartwheels.

He also has the advantage of electric start.

His main advantage is between his ears. He rarely makes a miscalculation that might even result in the "big cartwheel". By far, one of the smartest, if not the smartest rider on the track.
