Wow , too much information right there ,

scratching yourself ? , that's some kind of US slang for wanking , right ?

Out of curiosity , is playing Madskills whilst knocking one off a popular pastime in Huntington Beach ?

I think your right you need to get some sleep , but when your in bed , if you feel the need for a "scratch" , please don't be thinking of me now , that would be too much !

I really am off now , you have fun

Its funny that a lot of you guys from Countries within Europe, like to count your motocross riders as " European", when comparing them to American riders, yet you had 1 Belgian, 1 German and 1 Italian, leading 1 American in the series, before Villopoto left due to injury. Its just so you can lump a whole bunch of riders from multiple countries against the American rider. So, let's see...it didn't seem like there was any French, Spanish, English, Swedish, Finnish, Czech, Russian, Romanian, etc...beating Villopoto, are those riders not European or something. By some of your analogies, Germany must have the best riders in the world!
Speaking of the European riders (former World Champions), who are racing in America, they are much better racers now, after learning the American way of motocross...there is no doubt about that and it took them quite awhile...they are essentially American riders now!
The German, Belgian and Italian riders, who were just barely leading the recently back from injury American rider, are fantastic riders but count your lucky stars that Villopoto was not 100% or he surely would have been the World Champion by the end of the season!

The Blue Area is western Europe and the Population of the USA fits not complete.

When we compare MX Tracks and Riders of the USA and Europe the USA have many many more than Europe. I would say more only in California. That's the reason Japan sale Four Strokes only after the new law.

How about Paulin, Febvre, Simpson and Bobryshev?

In regards to the Jason Weigandt comment - I also roll my eyes whenever I hear that old chestnut, but of course it doesn't really bother me, I tend to just chuckle at it. Yeah it does sound pretty laughable at this point to anyone who has a more worldly view of the sport and follows the two major series closely, but there you go. It's part of promoting the series and you can't blame the team for doing that. Overall I think Jason is a great commentator.

On to the Supercross part of the debate; I don't think there's a European or otherwise that would ever deny that the AMA riders are the collective masters of that sport, but it IS a different sport. Perhaps the inclusion of SX could form an argument toward the question of: Who are the best off-road riders across multiple disciplines? But trying to extend that into a point about Motocross is where I think things get dodgy. By those rules a case could be made that a rider who had successfully competed in MX, SX but also GNCC was a better overall rider than anyone. And then you have other disciplines, such as beach racing, other forms of Enduro etc. I think Motocross is what most Europeans seem to care about and this is where any debate/argument should reside. Motocross alone can be different enough, and favour certain skills on the day.

RV would not have been world champion this year. You can be sure of that. You can add Roman Febvre and Gautier Paulin to the list of riders that would have beaten RV if he still was racing. But to be honest, its pretty stupid talking about IF RV was racing...

And of course Roczen and Musquin are better riders now compared to when they came to the US. They were kids ffs... Had they stayed in the GPs they would also be better riders by now. Its called development

Maybe Weigandt could just say "the best race tracks and MX coverage in the world...." cause the GPs suck bad in this regard. That's why it's a cut rate series. The riders themselves are amazing.

Supercross is NOT a different sport. I'll say it again, to be the best, you have to be the best at both disciplines. If our riders trained JUST for MX year round like your riders, do you not think we would be even better?...get a grip..It's called being well rounded. You guys can down play SX all you want, but it takes some serious skill to be really good at it, that's why some guys just never get to the top in SX, but do fine at MX.

All of this European solidarity truly warms my heart. Especially when you look at the past 100 year history of the continent. The two great wars were basically an upheaval on that continent where nations split allegiance and took up arms against one another. Both times it took the Americans, Australians, Canadians, Russians, etc. to come in and put an end to it. Now you guys are such chums. I think that is a beautiful thing. Congratulations. Before our civil strife is brought up, first realize that we have residents from every nation in the world. Every religious or non-religious belief in the world. Every possible belief there is in the world and we still manage to hold it together inside our borders quite well.

Bottom line. Everyone without exception loves to hate America and its citizens. We stick our nose into every conflict in the world and try and impose our will. We bully everyone in the world. Everyone hates us until they need us or can line their pockets with the money we have. This entire thread is another example of that. There are way more Europeans chiming in here trying to get us to admit that your riders are of equal talent and even some that want us to admit your riders are better.

I've said it several times in these stupid posts and I'll say it one more time. RV's results didn't set the world on fire, but they weren't as bad as some are trying to make them and finally, 4 events is not nearly enough to draw a fair conclusion of his ability in the GP's. Many more races are needed.

I always like the 'we', 'us' and 'them' parts in these posts.

You did not ride any nationals, GP's or fought world wars. Stop talking like you're one of them.

Come on Machine nobody cares about Supercross outside the US except a few Core Fans and the French,
for many Europeans it's at the same level as American Football (Rugby players dressed in yoga pants + Hockey gear)
Guess it has something to do with America's obsession for Superlative? (nothing wrong with that just Cultural difference)
I must give credit where credit is due, you guys have Kitsch elevated into Art

Before anyone complains this is a work of art created by American artist Jeff Koons,
It's not my cup of tea I prefer Hieronymus Bosch tho

I like how supercross doesn't count as a factor for deciding a riders overall skill rating.

It is a little comical that he is told to say that.

World Championship or National championship. There is only 1 World title but there are many National champs. You want the label of best in the world then you better go race the GP's

Right. So were they the best in the world for the 3 plus decades we handing them their asses, and U.S. riders who could not get a factory ride in the U.S. were winning the "World Championship"?

In the MXdN video above where the GOAT destroys Everts in Belgium on a Belgian track he had never ridden, was the "World Champion" the best in the world, or was the U.S. national champion the best?

Because it looked to me like the U.S. national champion was far better, even on a Belgian track against a Belgian "World Champion."

Or are we going to get a lecture about, "one race doesn't matter" or some other bullshit?

Again.

The "World Championship" is called that because that is what the FIM calls it. It does not therefore follow that the best rider in the world is the one who wins that series, but if you want to call him "World Champion", so be it. Whatever blows your skirt up.

No, you and all your cronies need to understand how your constant badgering of everything American is so fucking careless and utterly stupid. I was only trying to point out how all this world versus America bullshit on here is fucking absurd. All of you guys try to justify your bullshit about one rider competing in 7 events proves European riders are actually better than American riders. You further antagonize the situation by saying we are the one's shooting off our mouths when I see way more non-American sentiment in these pages of bull shit.

You need to get a life and discuss topics that are non-nationalistic. I listened to this horse shit as long as I could and tried to constructively add to these topics until the point where certain vitards made it impossible to do so. Every rational comment I made (and many other Americans made) were turned around to try and say we were being antagonistic and trying to make excuses. I'm going over the top to try and show how fucking stupid all this shit is and hopefully put an end to it.

Some of you will not back down until everyone on here states that International racers and racing styles are better. Ain't gonna happen. Have a great day.

talking about being nationalistic ...you must be a great example ........ typical US fan , where everything is bigger, better ,greater ...lol ... im a euro fan with a lot of respect for Rv coming over , in my opinion he is doing great so far . He made the MXGP more interesting , but i dont think he would have won the title in his first year ........all the hype around him coming over was caused by us fans , not the euro fans ... i agree there are a lot of fans on both sides with no respect .... but getting WW2 involved and all that shit is really pathetic in my opinion ....... you need help , Docter Phil . Have a great day

oh and all those posts about Herlings you probably dont mind he , same shit mister only its not an american ..and you love to trash talk about him , but ohhh if RV is mentioned all of sudden things turn around ............get a life , open youre eyes ..there is a whole world out there that doesnt give a fuck about the USA .......

Y'all are doing the same shit now with the one day race comparison and also comparing one rider against the rest of the world in 7 motos. 7 motos proves nothing. Take a look at all the dialogue in these few threads. You us against America contrbutors are every bit as rigid in you hypocritical bullshit as any American on here.

talking about being nationalistic ...you must be a great example ........ typical US fan , where everything is bigger, better ,greater ...lol ... im a euro...
talking about being nationalistic ...you must be a great example ........ typical US fan , where everything is bigger, better ,greater ...lol ... im a euro fan with a lot of respect for Rv coming over , in my opinion he is doing great so far .

It is hard to debate with an idiot when they are spouting off non-truths, Show me a single post I've made regarding Herlings. I've done nothing but praised the young man (Roczen & Musquin too my friend). I've even gone so far as to express my desire to see Herlings come to America and race. I went to Unadilla last year. I bought my tickets early and when I learned that Herlings planned to come over and race, I was fucking excited. I actually remember the day I heard he was scheduled to race here. I was actually in Tennessee at the AMA race when I heard. You're confusing me with another poster from NC. Get your facts straight. I have said nothing negative about the GP riders or events. Only the dumb ass posters here that continue to pester us and then only after I couldn't take it any longer.

As for the WWII topic. That all started with a less than appropriate post made in another thread that was an attempt at comedy. There is an entire generation, of which many are no longer around that wouldn't find the humor in it. Not just in America, but all over the world.

This is a perfect example of how you GP fans can be absolute dipshits. We are told over and over and over and over that the absolutely dominant U.S. record in the MXdN "doesn't matter" because "it's only one race." Yet the last 3 results in the MXdN now supposedly show how "the tide has turned", "the GP riders are just as fast or faster", etc. etc etc. Double standards as far as the eye can see.

And judging from this thread and others recently, it looks like quite a few U.S. fans. as well as some Canadians and Aussies, have had enough of the bullshit sandwiches and have started calling a spade a spade.

About. Fucking. Time.

Post a reply to: Weigandt: "best riders in the world" getting a little lame.
