Ffs.... read what i wrote earlier in this thread.

The producers/promoters probably want Weege to say "the best riders in the world". That's not his opinion.

And i'm not bitter at anything. I love the races in america, why do you think i stay up to 05.00-07:00 in the morning to watch SX races?

Its the weekend , time for the actual racing , drinking beer , having a BBQ , going to the beach , bumming your mates wife or whatever !

All European top riders they came over to ride US supercross did a great job without many practice before. We have not many SX tracks and no SX series. I think that says enougth about the talent. Also we can't practice so much like someone from south USA. Thats a climatic Thing, we have maximum 8 Months a year to ride and practice.

But ANYONE CAN PLAY IN THE MLB. It is not limited to only Americans

The Olympics are held in one location at a time. Does that take away significance, Phil?
It's not the location "locations" that make a sport. It's the athletes. The U.S has the fastest riders. In turn makes the lucos oil championship the more coveted.

It's the same group of people racing in different locations. They aren't taking on the best local riders of each area around the world. The sport is split. Some of the best are racing American Outdoors and some are racing the GPs.

Well, kinda.

You'll never hear a GP commentator say, this is the series that all the top riders in the world want to come and ride, which I've heard a few times from Langston and Weigandt. You might hear them say 'these are the best riders in the world' but they don't say it in such a disparaging way.

The difference is, the World Championship is not a series where 98% of the competitors are the same nationality, or one where all the races are held in the same country.

At the end of the day, niether series can categorically say that they have all the best riders in the world, but I think some have more right to say that than others

Its a team sport !!!!

Its not a World series of anything if only teams in a league in one country get to play in it.

Its just another sport designed to fit adverts into.

Maybe the AMA will go to 12 5 minute races so we dont miss anything .

Gps, Nationals, supercross. ANY series where you are a professional motocross racer, you are the best in the world. He commentates for one part of those 3 that I mention so he has every right to say they are some of the best in the world because they are, same with gps.

I love motocross so I enjoy both series alot but.............Europe has never had riders equal to or comparable to guys like McGrath, Stanton and Carmichael ( spare me Everts/Cairoli..not in the same league). I will say that Bayle is the only rider from "across the pond" that is considered in the same conversation as McGrath/Carmichael.

There has never been anyone in this sport on another level to Everts. Carmichael was probably the only guy you could say was better than him. But to say Everts wasn't even in his league is total garbage

This I like. When I woke up this morning I looked at a picture of my wife and I in the Normandy American Cemetary overlooking the beach from a few years ago for a good long minute. There are certainly bigger heroes in this world than those that ride dirt bikes for a living.

Racing pretty dull again, i just dont get why its so spread out ... too much 'riding my own race going on'
Do us all a favor and don't watch...It's people like you that make watching the GP's a chore...I love the GP's but their hardcore rose colored glasses wearing asshat fans make it almost unbearable...where do you fit in?

1-3 domination lost by 22 secs to Ac in second moto.
Rv was at best 4 place rider before the injury.
