I think Kenny will win more races between now and the end of the season. But I just don't know if Dungey will drop that many points. It might get pretty close at the end

That's why I think he'll struggle to close the gap. Based on what we've seen so far there isn't really anyone who can consistently get up there and take points off of Dungey. There's 2 or 3 that might get up there in a couple of races, but not every week. Canard maybe able to do it when he returns, but that's still only one guy and we don't know what kind of condition he will be in.

Well there are 18 more motos and Roczen needs 12 moto wins to make up the points on Dungey (given Dungey finishes 2nd all the time) - tbh, there is no one that can beat Dungey or Roczen if they don't have any problems or bad very bad starts, so they will most probably finish 1-2 in most of the races (until Canard returns).
I want Roczen to win but unless Dungey runs into some weird problems I don't see it happening

He can beat him at a race or three but he wont win the championship , Dungey has that part down cold.

1 slip up from Ryan or KTM and it's pretty much even.

2 bad motos, or he gets tangled up with a couple of guys like Martin and Kenny have suffered already.... Twenty points can slip away so fast.

It's a long bloody way to the end from here people

what is the story with Ken's back? Is it healing? Or will it be the same until he has an op?

If the same can happen that happened at Hangtown then its going to make things pretty difficult I would have thought

seeing what happened to Tomac, Dungey and DeCoster will be more calculated than ever

if Roczens back issues are over he'll win a few once he gets more time in, but in another month or so when it heats up will be his problem I think

Epidural will last until season end so the pain should be easier to manage, operation at season end I believe they said.

I think the big question is, when theyre both fully fit- is there anyone else capable of running their pace and finishing inbetween them?!

with tomac out, its likely that ken and ryan will be a long way infront of the rest of the pack. Will we see any of the other guys up their game and start challenging for wins? maybe Baggett? pourcel? Anderson? I hope some of the other guys step it up, seems to be a big difference in speed from 1st to 10th in the ama 450 class right now


trey is capable of finishing inbetween them, but I think after so long off injured its a big ask. Same with stewart (if he comes back?)

I think the best we can hope for is Kenny being fully fit soon, battling for wins. Will probably take a crash or mechanical from dungey for him to get back in the championship. Its unusual to see him make any big mistakes though, mr consistent.

I think Ken will bridge the gap by the end of the season, but without a disaster where Dungey has a DNF, I'm not sure Dungey will ever finish low enough in any race. I believe Ken may win more motos, but Ryan will win some also. It seems that Ken's back isn't really causing him too much pain any longer, but his cardio fitness may not be 100%. The down side for Ken may be that (according to what I read) he could wake up one morning and his back doesn't allow him to ride on a Saturday.

What would be an ideal scenario is if Eli, Ryan & Ken had all started the season 100% (Ken) and Eli not crashed out and ended his season. We would have some major fun then. Oh well.

From what I understand he has a bone spur that causes him zero pain but the smallest thing can cause the area around it to inflame and cause sever back spasms...he has not had an epidural.
