Rock has no problem calling out Nelson and questioning his character for not lifting the bike off of Bogle's foot but doesn't like proof that Peick cut the track. Did you really just say it's someone else's fault because they didn't block him well enough from cutting the track?
You are welcome to twist what I wrote anyway you want to. This is a MX forum after all where the truth often is not the priority and a place where physics abound where they know what people are thinking.

To respond to your last sentence NO but maybe you are on of the psychics around here who knows what I was really saying.

I've read it all. I get it. But you are being ridiculous in your defense of Weston. I bet if you would just let it go, no one would even be talking about it anymore. You're really not helping.

Crush/DC-I thought I had responded yesterday to the question: What do I think should be used instead of the Acerbis markers? I think the banners make a better course marker than Acerbis markers and regarding the danger factor my solution (and one I first floated over 10 years ago) is covers that slip over the wooden stakes holding the banners up. Back then they were a dollar a piece WITH a logo on them that had UV protection.

EDIT hvaughn88-This isn't about Weston Peick at the moment.

Sorry Rock. When someone hits or goes into one banner the whole roll goes with him. Then how do you fix on an entire compromised section in the middle of the race, with 40 bikes flying by you?

Have you ever bannered and managed a national track on a race day? You're always welcome to grab a hammer and help us chase it all day...

I don't understand why you think a banner makes a better marker though? It's no more of a physical barrier to stop a rider but does present more risk and trouble to a rider if it gets tangled in a bike and promoters if taken away...

The markers aren't the issue. The penalties are. Hit em with 5 spots for every infraction and see how many people keep doing it. Just like James' situation, I bet some paper work has been inspected since then.

DC, did you see my q regarding the holeshot framework? Did you get a one sided one made up?

DC-Guilty as charged 100 percent on my position on the markers but you are either exaggerating and/or have me confused with someone else RE: screaming about the Tuff blocks. Thank you for placing the big yellow deal on the entrance. What is the proper name for that device?

TriRacer-I never said it was right. IMHO it definitely wasn't right to use Peick as the poster child for this incident hence my comment.

i opened this thread and saw a nice big screen cap of Peick using the line in question. But it's not right to use him as the poster child? Huh?

is it because the resolution is too small to make it a poster? I don't follow your logic here.

UpTiTe, you're on! I will be at Glen Helen in about twenty minutes (though we don't start the yellow stakes until Friday after the amateurs end). Seriously, if someone ever wants to help out, let me know. It really is the best seat in the house, though there's no place or time to actually sit!

I think it would have taken Weston less time to actually ride on the track than it would have for Nelson to pick the bike off of Bogle.

I hear you Davey and now have to agree with you based on your reply. Thx

Crush I agree with you 100 percent on enforcing penalties. At Hangtown Jeff Canfield stated there would be fines forthcoming. If no fines just give everyone double secret probation and be done with it. :-)

Riders meeting will be a good one.

If they say you can't ride on the inside of the yellow track markers, you can't ride on the inside of the yellow track markers. You shouldn't get upset when someone catches you're guy cheating. Fall on your sword and move on.
A few years ago it was a 500(I think) dollar fine. From the sounds of it they won't even do that for this first time offense, but instead deal with it at the riders meeting and move on. I suggest everyone here move on as well.

Four riders disqualified and their results taken away for doing just this today at British GP.

took me ages to find this thread!

thought i'd post this up from the British GP.... I guess this is the part of the track the riders went over Kongols...... which class were the disqualified riders in? I took this during the EMX125 race and literally half the field were taking the shortcut
