Not to familiar with the chase format that AX does, but just wondering if anyone had done the math to figure out how the championship would have ended had it used that format. Im guessing Dungey still would have won, with Tomac 2nd and Seely 3rd? Im pretty sure the 250sx classes would also have had the same results. IMO the series needs a change in the points system, it was a little bit boring watching the last few races with the champions already crowned.
I also understand how stubborn people are, and how "rose tinted" their glasses are about the good ol days and how nothing should ever change. But c'mon, 4 races to go and championship is already over? Added to the fact that we basically knew who was gonna win by the time round 10 rolled around (Dungey had a 40 point lead at the end of Daytona). The series would have been a hell of a lot more exciting had it used the chase format.

Leave it alone, Dungey kicked butt over everybody except Roczen...he deserves every point that he earned!
You would not have absentee riders if there was a chase . No prepping for the outdoors before the season ends if you still have something to race for.
If a rider crushes his competition, he deserves for the points to reflect that fact.
- Age rule in order to make guys like Musquin, Davalos move up.
- One 250 Championship, no more East and West.
- Remove the semis for 450 class, it's ridiculous.
Pit Row
He was 4th in points after round 10 at Daytona...
and he's been doing a lot of testing.
I'd say he'd have been fine.
Imagine your whole season going down the drain due to another rider taking you out on the last lap.
Or a broken shock, or a flat tire. Nascar cheapened their championship.
