Here's the top 20 in the 450 standings. Let's look at how many of these guys are still active.

450 SX Points Standings
1. Ryan Dungey 365 Active
2. Eli Tomac 283 Active
3. Cole Seely 259 Active
4. Chad Reed 212 Injured as of East Rutherford.
5. Blake Baggett 208 Active
6. Trey Canard 204 Injured at Detroit...will likely miss the first couple rounds of the outdoors.
7. Jason Anderson 200 Active.
8. Broc Tickle 183 Active.
9. Andrew Short 180 Injured at East Rutherford.
10. Ken Roczen 156 Injured at Daytona.
11. Davi Millsaps 147 MIA after being let go by Monster Energy Kawasaki.
12. Josh Grant 143 Active.
13. Weston Peick 140 Active (after missing several rounds).
14. Kyle Chisholm 105 Active.
15. Justin Barcia 89 Active (after missing a good portion of the season).
16. Nicholas Wey 85 Active.

That's nine guys who made it through unscathed...but we still have a round left.

I wonder if the lack of an open practice was the reason for a couple of the East Rutherford crashes??

And poor Wil Hahn didn't even get to line up at the first gate drop. It's a tough sport to say the least.

I have on my bucket list to go attend one of the first 3 SX rounds sometime because that is the best chance to see a full line up. By the time the tour comes around my area half the field is depleted.

It's a tough sport, those guys all have my respect.

Even with all the injuries it would still be pretty impressive if Blake Bagget ends up 4th in his rookie 450SX year. C'mon Blake do it for Tyler! Tongue

And if Anderson has a good Vegas and things fall right he could jump from 7th to 4th in the standings.

Tough sport, something has to give besides the riders bodies.

Regardless of the injured list I think it is awesome that Blake Baggett will finish 4th or 5th in his rookie year of 450 Supercross. I hope this has built his confidence going into the outdoor season and we get some el chupacabra sightings this year.

Most of the riders I talked to seemed to like the less practice (and daytime racing). Privateers probably not so much when it comes to less practice.

It's pretty impressive that the 3 rookies might all end up top 5, could go Seely, Bagget, Ando depending on how things shake out.

Yeah, that's the same stat that jumped out at me too. I think it's highly likely, but I certainly wouldn't have seen that coming in January!! Good on all of them... and I'm guessing BB will hit another gear once they go outdoors!
