No interest in watching video.

The people who posted about the possibility of RV being at Hangtown really need IMO to get out of their moms' basements more often. RV signed up for MXGP and he wouldn't be the legend he is to even consider returning earlier not to mention contractual obligations.

RV doesn't care to be a legend, he doesn't care about his "legacy" btw, don't you remember last year? Ryan said he was going to race outdoors and look what ended up happening! he didn't race outdoors, you don't know what RV is going to do, I doubt we will see him at Hangtown, but a little interview doesn't mean anything, also, i'm sure he could find a way out of his contract if he wanted to

It would be cool if he showed up for a round or two though.

Of course last year he said he WOULD be doing nationals. If the schedules worked, doing the US nationals and GPs, like a 2015 version of Marty Smith would be amazing.

I wonder what kind of crowd RV draws at the races over in the GPs.

I heard at Argentina it was rock star status. Most the MXGP fans have been great to RV. Some of them that post here.... that is another story.............

He said he got to have body guards everywhere, seen some big guys in ARG. His wife said something about women trying to
touch him in Thailand on the shoulder or something..

Well from what i remember is that it wasn't a simple process Kawi Europe in getting RV as Kawi USA are a total seperate to Kawi Europe. It sounded like they are almost two separate business's so RV coming home to the USA ain't going to be straight fwd as "well he rides for Kawi so he'll just transfer his gear bag"
Total waist of a rumour.

Besides your example being apples and oranges (last year's National aborted run) the above point isn't applicable to RV's situation.

I doubt we will see him at Hangtown

You really do need to get our more. Smile Seriously you can take it to the bank RV will NOT be at Hangtown racing.

I don't think RV wants out of his contract. He's there to race , but he's also using this as a chance to see many different places in which he would of never had the chance too. I think anyone who counts him out of winning at " least " a couple more rounds in the GP's before the end of the season is just plain dumb. He'll be back strong as ever as soon as his ass heals up.

Provided his ass doesn't fall off, he will be racing at Glen Helen.

He likes to remind every interviewer "that doesn't mean my decision can't change" on the whole 1 year deal Wink I know I'm digging deep but I believe because of the bad days the possibility of him sticking around rises just by a drop.

Other people have already said this...but RV doesn't always have the most reliable interviews....

Also, I believe JT was just giving a "for instance" that given the current situation in the GPs that MX Nationals wouldn't be a bad option for a guy to still have a chance at a championship.

Here are RV's options or potential outcomes:

1. He doesn't race another race because of a "lingering" injury for the rest of his contract.
2. He races the remaining GP's assuming he is out of the championship, the removal of pressure allows him to loosen up his riding style and he starts to win more consistently...more issues come up for the top 4 riders putting the last few races much closer int he championship
3. He swaps out his contract, fills in for the vacant spot on Monster Kawi in the US, battles with Roczen, Dungey and Tomac.
4. He disappears.
5. He goes to Canada to race
6. He starts training for SX again and makes a return in 2016.
7. Goes fishing.

A lot,and it's gonna be the same at every rounds. RV2 is a HUGE star in Euromxland. I'm going to the French GP just to see him riding live one more time.

Hey mauidex! How ya been? I am curious how you can say "I am sure higher ups......." Personally the only things I am sure of is my passing and the requirement to pay taxes.

Unless the higher ups lack a basic understanding of how business works I cannot imagine (but I can't be 100% sure) any of them thought for a second RV would not finish 2015 MXGP. It is my opinion that RV would NEVER put his tail between his legs and race the Nationals independent of what anyone thinks or "knows for sure."

good Rock.................hope to see ya on "the rock" this summer..........yep you're right can't be sure...........but in my mind I am sure that after milsaps demise here, and not getting the results they expected out of RV so far in Europe, and the situation of Team Green - Pro SX/MX team-..........I really am sure that someone higher up who writes the checks did "THINK ABOUT IT OR THOUGHT ABOUT IT"...............sorry if my presumption is not grammatically correct.....Wink Wink

Hope to see you here this summer too. From what I have read RVs higher ups are not the same as Milsaps higher ups but I can't put a body part on it that they don't talk. Regardless I still find the whole RV Hangtown scenario as likely as SX tracks on the moon and is why I can't relate to the people who thought RV might be at Hangtown.

I mean come on......does anyone seriously think that RV would have even thought for one second about bailing on MXGP? How would that have looked in the context of USA vs rest of the world. We have a few issues so we pick up our marbles and go home? I don't think so Tim.
