OMFG dude, get over it! I said it for years, RV is not nearly as great as everyone makes him out to be! Now that he's racing guys that are healthy and at the top of their game, he's being exposed! The only time he has really dominated a series was 2013 MX! Yep, I said it, flame on brother!
haha! What a joke.

His problem is simple, this is not an AMA track where he could just hit outside lines harder than everyone else which is what he is best at. He needs to change his lines and do more insides and square off more.
I blame the beard. It causes him to overheat and fog the goggles.

Maybe it's the food. None of the old timers wanted anything to do with GPs cause the food was weird. I think they may have been onto something.

Funny how gitty these Euro guys are after RV doesn't win. You can sense the relief they have through their egotistical, childish, and anti USA posts. You can tell they truly believe RV is the better rider, and even they expected him to be better. And that is one of the saddest things I have seen on this board, the guys who cover up that feeling with hate posts. Like I said before, I feel bad for certain posters when RV gets accommodated.

The year before he got 3rd in a moto, and at the dilla he was in third till a Bubba crash which was amazing to think that Bubba could come out and race on that buck borad bike on a track that he hates pass and pull away from Desalle until a crash of course it was a interesting race to watch. Desalle did well in 2013 as well was a 4-6 guy in a deep field.

I can think of one off races where some Euros could barley crack the top 10 ala Smets and Bolley when they were world champs but those where one offs. Mid pack is an exaggeration but most do struggle with the pace at first.

Wow, I love hes racing the gp"s but already am sic of all the corny post from everyone, by no means is he out of the championship, so much can happen, he will b fine, hes racing every weekend on tracks hes never ridden, put the top 3 euros in the nationals and youll c the same thing, lets enjoy the racing, quit the banter, theirs not 1 of us that should be criticizing ANY of these riders unless u can do better than who your criticizing. Lets enjoy it, hes gonna win some and the top euros will win, we beneifit by great racing

RV is fine... he is very fast like he always is when the track is smooth and suits his USA style - wide open.

But this is the world championship... every track is different and you are going to different countries every week and it's rougher. Being wide open doesn't always work... you have to be versatile, that's what makes you the best in the world. That's why AC is currently the best... he has all the pieces of the puzzle.

You can never claim a guy winning his own national championship is the best in the world until he does it in the World Championship - it's the toughest outdoor series in the world.

RV can still win this title but he needs to become more versatile with his riding and quickly, his one dimensional style works in the USA or on tracks that suit him but this GP series is the a different ballgame. He is good enough to figure it out and it will make him a better rider but he is 25 points down to Desalle already, he needs to come out swinging next moto!

All this talk of winning AMA championships being 2nd rate to the gp title is crazy to me. I don't think you have to win the gp title on any year to be the best in the world. So whoever won the gp title in the same years rc was winning or Hannah, RJ was better than them since they didn't go over and ride the gps???
The GP'S are WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS PabstBR11

Two out of the three tracks none of the GP riders have raced either, tracks are a poor excuse.

Some of the apologies and whining do get tiring, along with a lack of respect to these other guys, one day it's all brag and chest pound, next day excuses RV rode great in that last Moto, much better than the 1st,just not the same as his usual dominant performances back home in the AMA

When was the last time a top guy from the US raced the GPs? The format is diferrent, the tracks are certainly different,I think RV's all out style suits the qualifying track more than raceday

You won't get an apologie from him. He's a sad excuse for a motorcross fan. According to him euro riders are pussies. Sorry, only one pussie on this board lol.

Anyway, some great races today. I expected Villo to podium today but sadly he didn't. His second moto was a lot better so he is working in the right direction. He will again podium this year and he will also again win some GP's. Maybe he can win the championship. Nothing is lost just yet, but it won't be easy. Cairoli will only get stronger and stronger. His favorite tracks are coming up.
I have no idea what is wrong with Villo but i must agree, something looks off. I still think he should've done some pre-season races. Just to check the competition. When i said so before the championship began everybody kept saying that Ryan does not need those pre-season races. He has never done them in the USA so why should he start doing them now ? Well, it would've helped i think. He could've checked out the real speed of the GP riders instead of sparring against a guy that is barel capabale of a top 20 position. What happened to Ratters ? I still remember him becoming world champion on that KTM125 against a field of 250f's. He was incredible back then.

Just watched the races on 1 hour delayed coverage... wow, what a great track and what awesome racing. You could almost throw a blanket over the top 5 guys... so much better than the supercross races we have been watching that get decided on the first corner.

Some of you guys are being abit harsh on RV, if he got a decent start I don't think many would pass him. Having said that Nagl passed him in the first moto. Best GP I have seen for years !

It could be he has a dose of the GP Blues. Reality Bitch slap. It will be tough riding in the World Championship, his learning curve will be steep but he's trying, only being 27 points behind going back to the riders home teritory will be nothing short of exciting.

He hasn't raced outdoors Nationals since 2013, he traveled to a the GP's for his final year of racing before retirement. He has to deal with new everything. Could any of the rider riders in front of him not raced GP's since 2013 come and race that small Nationals series Wink in the US and win? No
RV is not racing in the "Natioals" , they have no place in the discussion. You are in the World Championship now.
