Anti RV, not really. Just pro GP. RV has progressed at a very quick pace and he has always had the speed and determination. Only one thing to remember " I don't think we are in Kanas, Toto", so that probally disturbs you that there is real Motocross outside the USA and we are just as proud of our World Championship as you are of your AMA National Championship. By applying your knowledge of a AMA series to a GP series while never even setting foot on a GP track can not be productive in a discussion no matter how much bravado and ignorance ( I didn't say stupidity, a whole different concept) and backslapping you throw at the subject it doesn't change the outcome of what is happening on the track. It's all a Motocross game the only differnce is it's now a away game for the USA fanbase and played on our tracks, in our countries, using our rules and having to face the exact same banter you toss our way. When RV excels and proves himself over the whole season he will have my total respect even though I do admire his choice to step up much more than you think. One last thought, RV is without a doubt one of the fastest riders MX has produced, but there is not a place in the point race for the "fastest" rider, only the one that crosses the finish line first be it by a millimeter or a 10 second gap. Let's hope there are many " millimeter " finishes this year as Tony has turned the last couple of years into his personal "Everts" snooze festival season. And to shatter the preconceived image the haters have tried to project on me, I am in fact a 'Merican, born and bred 4th generation California native, former double didgit AMA rider, dual nationality now and still spend most the off season in my Calif home where I am sitting at the moment counting the days to departure and the begining of the real season circus. " May the best man win".

You so much want to be relevant and more than a jerk photographer, You do weave a intricate web of poser deceit. It is tough being on the sidelines taking pics rather than throwing a leg over the saddle, I feel for you and your misery at not being able to realise your fantasy and having a inner rage aggression that manifest itself in class clown insecure buffonery against anyone who steals your empty bolsterious entertaining thunder, relax, I'll soon be too busy to maintain my presence here and frankly it's become boring dealing with a majority of dimwits and chest thumping wanna bees but that can be expected given the mentality pool. There is a splattering of fans here who do care about this fanatastic once in a lifetime season in the GPs and I do feel for them having to wade through the ignorant slop posted here by the mentally challenged keyboard junkies but I do hope they keep up the information about the GP scene. I enjoy the sparing with the ones here who do not have to revert to name calling and infant tantrums when they don't get their way or someone disagrees that's the American way, correct? It becomes a witch hunt if you voice a experienced opinion that doesn't fit in with the "America F*ch Yea" goon mentality, but your rider invaded our series, deal with it. By casting aside everyone that has a opposing view you do in fact elevate RV to a be better rider and help him to win the World Championship, it's almost like you are right there living your inner fantasies through him. He IS you and you ARE him, jeeez. In closing before I'm censored and banished, I stand by my original statement that RV will not compete the whole season and neither will Tyla or many other riders which deserve too, it's not a patriotic gesture nor a anti patriotic gesture, just a statement from experience and it's not meant to be a curse or demoralising statement, only my opinion. Just watched the MXGP qualifier. Great racing! The crowd were into it once the Villopoto got up near the front. Cairoli picked it up those last 2 laps. Villopoto had that table section nailed.

Also, do people really think Cairoli's bike isn't a 350? Listen to the bloody thing compared to Nagl and Villopoto's bike

KTM Racing announces that it has welcomed the move by the International Motorcycle Federation (FIM) to officially control and verify the engine size of the bike used by the current leader in the MXGP-class World Championship, KTM factory rider Tony Cairoli. FIM made the control on the racing bike engine used by Cairoli in Sunday’s MXGP of Spain at Talavera de la Reina.
Following the day’s racing activities, officials from FIM made a thorough control and officially verified that Tony Cairoli’s machine, which successfully competes against the bigger 450cc bikes in the MXGP World Championship, is, as it is correctly branded, a 350cc-displacement racing bike.

Speaking of the control, Pit Beirer, Head of KTM Motorsports said: “We very much welcome this move by the FIM officials because it is important for our company image, and for our international reputation that Tony’s factory bike not only complies with FIM rules, but also that it is verified as a 350cc.” Beirer said customers, rivals and most important, the sport’s governing body should have the official assurance that the bike in question conforms to the size as stated on the machine’s official specifications and is completely in line with FIM regulations.

Pit Beirer: “We also want our customers to know that for KTM it is it naturally vital that with the 350cc SX-F, what they see is what they get. The fact that Tony (Cairoli) has competed so successfully on the 350 SX-F since he joined our factory team in 2010 is a tribute to his exceptional riding skills. It goes without saying that also underlines KTM’s ongoing commitment to R&D and the deployment of technical expertise that is second to none.”

Oh wow the qualifier is spectacular! Ryan was incredible, Tony too for seemingly finding a bit extra at the end. Great racing up and down the field.

I'm sure that's a factor but it's arguably undeniable that with RV in the GP's the thread interest has generally surpassed any SX this year.

No question, GP race threads used to be all but ignored here. I've always kept up on the GPs but I will admit my level of enthusiasm is higher this season.

Yeah he was making a lot of time in the table top rhythm section thing - many of the GP guys looked untidy through there. Nice corners as always. Also seemed to make up good time up the start straight directly after the finish line. Can't wait to see how things play out tomorrow.

So what does that tell you ? =)

Alessi even won hangtown a american production ruled factory KTM 350sxf back in 2010. He also rode the 350 sxf in that year at gp of glen helen with Tony and they ended up one and two.

RV have crushed the field on a 250F MXDN.

The stock modern KTM sxf 250 2016 makes 48 ponies can you imagine how much they can squeeze out of a bike with 100 more cc?

A modern factory 350 sxf should be more than enough for the right rider in this case Mr Antonio. I personaly dont believe the bike have more cc´s he is just riding the bike to the limits and is comfortable with it.

Don't care about all the bitching back and forth , that was a fuckin' awesome race. The track is sweet and is going to make for some good racing. Cant wait until tomorrow. Got a feeling the 2 best MX'ers in the world are going to go at it for 30+2
3/28/2015 7:06pm
That was a great qualifier in the MXGP. Argentina has its shit together. The dirt is fantastic, the camera work was much better with some great close ups and concentration on action up the front. The crowd was large and into it and the racing was full on. Didnt see RV holding back and saving himself for the finals.... he was on it... and AC wicked it up the last few laps too. If these two do some slipping and sliding, dipping and diving out of the first corner and up front together then its going to be on and we are all in for a nail biter. Cant wait!!

Its just my opinion. Maybe in some GPs he rides the true 350 but if the bike is 390 its ok anyway because its not a 450. I really dont believe that test they did on Cairolli. I could be wrong and the bike is 350

BTW and related to the thread: Hands down to RV2. Somebody call to Cairolli's manager and tell him he now needs to race in the US in order to restore his reputation :D

I watched the 450 qualy...what a race. RV came from way back to AC rear wheel...it looked like a lapper entered the track between AC and RV and then cost RV a few tenths as he had to hesitate and go around him.

Great race though..
